Who you going to blame? Physics? Gravity? Centrifugal force? Terminal velocity? I'm oh so certain that'll go over splendidly!

    Get a clue, guy.

Edit: Pardon, to answer the question posed in this particular post: You'd be dead. No blame to be had or try to pass around if you ate #### at 400mph.

Should tell dispatch your plans ahead of time .... If you are going to be out of time and can't make it, say so as soon as it is known... If you say nothing and are legal and he books you a load and you say "but I am le tired...." That's not very cool either...

It is the drivers fault for hitting something. That being said it is the company's responsibility to pay the deductible if he is a company driver.

When you are dead tired and it's a tight spot just park somewhere else. Park stupid if you have to, just wake up early when it starts to loosen up then go to a space. Just don't hit stuff.

You are not a slave, you own that truck when you are sitting in that driver's seat - PERIOD.

If you are tired, then you are tired and have to rest, there is no law in the world that says you have to drive or listen to your boss when you are sitting in the driver's seat and tired.

The regulations are there to stop people like you from driving and being abused, not because the government loves regulations (well some do) but because we had a lot of drivers killed and kill others because of them being tired when there was a lot of pressure to do a dangerous job. That was back in the 30's when there was a depression on, we don't have a depression and still people act like this is the only thing that they can do and will allow themselves to become slaves.

You run into something, then it is on you, you ignored the regulations and common sense (you shouldn't be tired after 11 hours with proper sleep unless you were up messing around).

Tell your friend he needs to grow a spine so to speak. If he's tired then he needs to tell dispatch he's not driving rather then cry to you about it.There's nothing you can do.Your friend needs to stop driving before he gets too tired.Look what happened because he didn't stop he hit a trk which is 100% his fault.Tell your buddy I said to grow a pair.

If he doesn't have a brain or a spine, he should not be driving. Period.

What's unfair is that everyone who has a brain and a spine have to rub elbows with, compete with, and be grouped with BRAINDEADS and Jellyfish! No simpathy for anyone who whimpers about how a desk jockey "forced" him to drive tired. They should hang your friend.
