I was going to title this video (what's wrong with this video) but decided to ask another question. With all the empty spaces why choose to park in a group of parked trucks? Does anybody who might recognize this place know of a particular reason?

Some spots are strategic. You can't get blocked in at night and you are less likely to lose your hood. Some spots are fat boy spots. Some spots all you to see the car and the gas pumps for the women watchers.

Plenty of safe pull through spots.

Edit: With all those Swifties parked, none of those spaces are safe. Nevermind...

My number one criteria for picking where I park.

That will usually put you with a few trucks parked there for the same reason even if there are 50 much less desirable empty spots. It only takes once getting blocked in or in a spot that's very difficult or impossible to get out of.......or even worse to get hit ( all have happened to me early on ) and you really start to pay attention to where you park if there are choices when you get there lol

First thing I hope this does not turn into a swift bashing thread. It was not my intent. I also thought about the plum parking spot angle too. Because you can't see what's on the drivers right side I can't fully judge this. I think this is a Petro TS. Maybe somebody here knows this place well and will chime in.

Sometimes it's just about reps. I'll pick a tough spot to get into from time to time to just get some practice in. Same with blindsides.

OTR guys don't drive backwards all that often generally.

That is the Alamo Petro in Sparks NV. It is right next door to the Swift terminal. Never could figure out why truckers like to pack together so close or why he was aiming for that single spot between those truck when he passed up several empty spots adjoining.

I have gone off over tothe gravel areas before and parked way out by myself and wake up a couple hours later with a truck on each side and 50 acres of open space otherwise.

i think the better question would be, why the hell didn't you take a pull thru..??? this is what many of us do, to lessen backing accidents. that's what that driver did.......

frankly, you just didn't use your head. as a result, you really have no right to say sheet about it.

and also, why were YOU choosing to park, in a group of trucks..????
