This is a rather strange problem. Will be curious to see what the issue is. Are you anywhere near Area 59? You have any North Korea connections?

What is it, dont know how to read a map? Now you know why an atlas should be your primary means of navigating and sync the gps with the map.

Heh, I still call a customer if I'm not sure about the route into a facility. To use the phrase so many seem to hate these days, "Back in the day", the only way you were going to get directions was to call the customer. There was no GPS or cell phones or macros or... whatever. Just payphones.

    CrappieJunkie Thanks this.

Not using tools is not a solution to fix said broken tools.

If your Qualcomm is not working, and your GPS is also failing, try the following experiment.

Get one of those large capacity USB battery phone life extenders, and power your GPS from that.

What that does is completely isolate your GPS from truck power.

If the GPS works when it is on internal battery, AND when it is on a non-truck external source, it's time for the next test. See if the GPS works inside your truck when it is on the battery.

If it works inside the truck when on the portable battery, but not when connected to truck power, then there is a power issue in your truck.

If the GPS still fails inside the truck even off external power, then you might have an electrical shop go over your truck for shorts or other interference. For examplw, A high-power CB system with a loose wire might be causing issues. OR an old install of a high power CB that has been removed by a halfass technician might have a skinned wire against something conductive.

Your problem is an odd one, but not impossible to imagine. A good electronics aftermarket installer or CB shop might be able to help you resolve it.

    tscottme Thanks this.
