I've heard that a driver can contact Qualcomm corp office in San Diego, Ca. to request transcripts of conversations he/she had with dispatch while employed by a company, can anyone tell me just how to do this and who specifically to contact?

Never heard of that myself. A camera and pictures of the screen normally works though.
You could always call them and ask though, but seeing as you weren't the one paying the bill, don't hold your breath

In much the same way a driver can download their Electronic Logs from the system, they should be able to download the message traffic to/from their Electronic Harassment Device the same way.

Most dispatchers know what they can or can not say. That's why many get that "call me" message. Like leftlane said a camera is the easiest way. Your on the road site seeing, around wrecks, have a computer, you should have one!

Likely will take a lawyer and subpoena to get them.

Thanks Guys!
When I got fed up with SRT, I was in Maryland and I live in LA. When I asked if I would be charged with abandonment, they said I would not since they told me to leave the truck at the truck stop, they did take the cost of the bus trip to LA out of my final check plus a few more dollars for not returning the drivers handbooks, I got that back on my taxes. But now I have my DAC and next to Work Record they put: unauthorized location w/o notice, other than that everything else was fine.
I gave them the Flying J number, address and everything they needed to recover the truck before leaving for the bus station -
This is just a battle that doesn't seem possible for the carrier to ever win ... Drivers are often complaining about how improperly dispatch sets up their runs and they don't get enough miles .. on the flip side they are at the ready to pounce should the dispatcher even think about asking them to color outside the lines a little bit. I am not talking gross violations of HOS, just runs that are tight enough that if everything goes right you can do it, one slowdown and you cannot, resulting in possibly another day added to the run, driver is pissed off once again. Can't win.

I'm on elogs, if I get a load I can do, I'll do it. If it requires creative logging, that's fine. A paycheck is what I need
