Gee, I'm sorry you feel that way. Give a man a fish, he eats one night. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. I was just pointing out that YOU should do the work. Not keep asking the same questions that were literally JUST asked in another thread. The answers won't be any different. Sorry you think that because I didn't hand you the fork, knife, spoon and the meal too I was being a smart...rear. You don't like it...there's the ignore button.

Diesel Dave and BigJohn54 Thank this.

Not only does he want us to cut his steak for him, he expects us to chew it for him as well.

Also, asking the same question....yourself, (can I take the truck and go where I want on my 34) just shows you aren't paying attention, or have a zero attention span. Which means, trucking isn't for you. You thought the answers would be different this time around?

    BigJohn54 Thanks this.

Eh, call a spade a spade, the last 4 letters of my forum name are correct. I was a bit peeved that he asked the same questions in a new thread that he had asked a week ago, and the same questions that were asked in a different thread made earlier today. But some people are slow to learn I guess.

Oh God. I don't know why I waste my time replying to these things (not one useful post yet), but here we go:

Sheepdog, no I don't want to read the rules of the forum, I go by my own rules it's pretty simple: if you give me #####, I'll give you ##### back. And I am calm, I'm not upset but I still very much defend what I said because it's all true. You can be calm, but it doesn't mean you have to just sit there and take ##### with a big goofy smile on your face.

'Diesel' Dave, apparently you don't understand that ppl who have a sense of humor and can make jokes at their own expense are secure in themselves. It's ppl who give themselves names like 'Diesel Dave' who are hiding behind a myriad of intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and genital-size insecurities.

srvmcmxc, I do have thick skin. I've been through more than you could ever imagine. I don't take stuff too personal. I could give 2 sh*ts what most of these ppl think of me. I just like to give ppl back what they dish out even harder b/c I find it entertaining.

You don't need to 'ridicule' me for my questions b/c they are good questions. Very good questions. Questions that would provide answers to ppl that were wondering if they were at the right co or maybe there is another co there that would better fit their needs.

Oh and just to let you know, it's not healthy for you to sit for long hrs without moving. It's bad on your back and you will have circulation problems. 15 min. to stretch your back and legs and get the blood flowing is very good for you, and I don't think driving 10 hrs with a lunch break, a break to fuel and two other 15 min breaks is 'unprofessional' or 'lazy'. But when you have health problems later on down the line, don't say I didn't warn you.

To your answer to #11, HAHAHAHAHA!! It's not relevant?? All your info is POINTLESS if I don't know what co's policies all the answers apply to! But I couldn't say that I actually expected anything helpful from you after your first post. You've offered me nothing more than the typical 'I'm a tough guy I can drive 100 hrs without taking a piss, I run hard look at me' attitude. Well good for you, mister super truck man. I'm so impressed.

Dragontamer, sorry I don't read every single thread. I know it didn't answer all of these questions though. And I think I asked two of my 11 questions in my first thread, did you're mommy never teach you how to count? And did it ever occur to you that ppl did NOT put what co they work for with their responses in my 1st thread? Or that maybe I would get responses from dif ppl who work for different co's? No cause maybe YOURE the slow one.

Misc, when you chewed on my ####### did you get any peanuts stuck in your teeth? I didn't wipe very well last time.

Oh I'm done replying to this thread now for the same reason as the last one (I have better things to do with my time than reply to your cliche, stupid putdowns), because no one has been helpful, just the pieces of ##### that you are (not all, you know who you are) making your comments putting me down when all I'm trying to do is gather data to make an informed decision. It's a typical insecurity complex: it happens all the time. It's why so many bosses have power trips. You probably listened to the recruiters, ended up in a ##### co, learned the hard way, and now you try to keep other ppl in the dark (even though they're asking intelligent q's) so they will have to go through the same thing.

You've ruined what would have been a VERY useful thread to ALL new drivers searching for a co to start with. But what can I expect from you? Again, I only speak the truth when I say very candidly, the world would be better off if ppl like you didn't exist.

If anyone wants to provide us with some data, and not be a ####y, worthless, insecure, put the 'newbies' down, a-hole like the one's posting previously, all us new drivers would be very thankful =)

I had this big long thing typed out, with links and everything...but, that would be spoonfeeding. Use the search box. I found the answers you are looking for in less than 5 minutes. All of them. For several companies.

    1) 2600 - 3200
    2) $600-$900
    3) Depends on what you call home. I have family all over the country and a GF that lives in New Mexico. I'm bound to be near someone during a 34 hour reset.
    4) No. You have to stay with the truck and log yourself on line 4 (on duty not driving) if this is a live load/unload.
    5) Depends on the driver. Sometimes I will unload the freight and pocket the driver unload pay and sometimes I'll hire a lumper.
    6) Depends on what you consider 'off'. If laden (meaning you have a loaded trailer), you can't leave it unattended for more than 2 hours a day (company policy) and you cannot un-hook from the trailer (company policy).
    7) Depends on the appoitment time of the load. Some loads give you all the time in the world, whereas others will have you riding it like you stole it.
8.) Depends on your hours. If you can chase your 70's and run a load, run the load. This is your call, not the companies.
    9) Depends on what state you're in, what the OAT (Outside Air Temperature) is, and whether or not your truck has a APU.
    10) This coincides with question #7. If you get pushed, push back.
    11) CR England

BTW, I have more experience than 1-3 years. Just answering these questions to lighten up the mood in this thread. When I first started driving OTR I was with Werner.
