OK, how many of you know what a clutch brake is, and how/when to use it? I was sitting outside today at lunch, and a driver for an 'infamous' trucking company stopped, then turned left into the warehouse across the street, and it was obvious that either his clutch brake was worn, or else he just didn't know how to use it. Then I got to thinking; how many new drivers actually were never taught how to use this piece of equipment?

    That’s a very good question.

That was reason #169 why I don’t like taking time off work, but that no longer applies since I’ve been reduced to an automatic boat anchor transmission.

Clutch brake to new drivers is when a spot opens up at the pump so they can do their 30 and reduce their steps, in their crocs none the less, to the soda machine. “Clutch 30 minute Break” :)

I love looking at old threads sometimes. Many of those drivers were here for years and then just disappear. I've disappeared from here myself for a couple of years. Makes you wonder what happened.
