Generally speaking IF you get removed from USA Truck's orientation its because you did not fully complete your history at first. If there is something on your record that will disqualify you and you dont disclose it, and its missed by driver solutions but found at orientation, your gone! Its that simple!

Yeah but I mean the only thing is my driving history, I've had some tickets in the past now most of them are 3 and 4 years old, It's their job to run my mvr and decide if they can/want to hire, its wrong for driver solutions to tell someone that they can be hired knowing good and well that the companies will never hire you, sounds like scam to me, in which Driver Solutions gets paid for every recruit they can bring aboard, for then in turn USA and Pam to scam you by first getting you to sign their contract and then go, ( oh ya know what didn't see that before oh to bad guess we cant hire you oh by the way here's a 4 thousand dollar bill for the training we provided you with, have a nice trip home!) Thats the kind of stuff I thinks going on, and no it doesn't happen to everyone, its a win win situation for these companies, okay so say they do get a driver in there that they cant find anything to fire them over, well them they ended up with a driver to make money off of anyways so, like I said win win, but i'm willing to bet at this point from stuff i've read and herd about from others, there is some amount of coercing and scheming going on with DS USA and Pam, and its not right, and its that simple my friend lol!

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your contention. Driver Solutions works closely with the carriers in this area. I refuse to believe that DS is scamming people this way. In fact "Rick" my Driver Solutions recruiter told me that once this "check" was done there would be another check done by the carrier, and he made it clear that I must be truthful in this area. Driver Solutions did not "see" a following too closely charge against me from several years ago. I thought it was handled and dropped by the Fulton County Georgia court at the time. Turns out USA Truck "saw" it during orientation, thankfully my record only had 1 other minor charge and I was accepted as a driver and sent to train.

Driver solutions income depends on people being successful in being hired by the carriers, and I refuse to believe they would tell someone they was OK to go to school only to be turned away by the carriers, as part of some kind of scam.

I have with one exception kept up with every member of my C1 class since C1 Graduation. Our class had 23 people in it. One person was dismissed after week 5 because he could not do the backing. I know of NO class member that has been turned away at orientation. I also have kept up with most of the USA Truck class members from the class before mine as well as the 2 after. To date I know of NO people that did not complete orientation. All members of my C1 class that went with USA Truck have completed their upgrade training and are now 1st seat drivers. This is my PERSONAL knowledge of about 50 people. I would think that if DS was scamming I would know of more being turned away. As far as the people in my C1 class that was sent home, ALL were PAM and were sent home because PAM withdrawed their job offers because of medical problems found, and most were told that they might still have a job if they could get these problems fixed.

Driver Solutions is in the business of getting qualified people behind the wheel of a Tractor-Trailer, not to scam people. I am 100% sure if this was a bad problem the Authorities in Indiana would shut them down.

Has there been problems with DS approving somebody, training them then having the carrier turn them away, sure I admit this has happened, but I believe this is an exception not the rule.

Well as inspiring as your story is, I'm still not convinced that going through Driver Solutions is the best way to get into the trucking industry, and i'm thinking of telling my Driver Agent today that I will not be going to school on the 31st.

Not to be a jerk, but what are they paying you for tuting their horn like that? DS is a pretty well known company for the things they do and it's not all rosy.

Personally I was going to go to their school about 10 minths ago, but they didn't like the fact that I have self-employment on my work history. Recently after going ahead and paying for school closer to home, the school sent out some applications for the students, it took me down right getting rude with DS to get them to leave me alone.
They did not want to hear that I wasn't going with USA or CRST and every other company on the face of the earth was garbage according to them.

Just my opinion but be leary of them, if possible get your training through grants or something so you don't have to be the "whipping boy" for some company.

I went through DS three years ago and had no issues at all.I even have a Felony on my record which i was upfront about from day one.Worked for USA for a year and a half then took a local job.Never considered myself a "whipping boy" I did my job and did it well.Didnt sit around complaining about this and that.I am going back to USA in about two weeks and thoroughly looking forward to it.Yes there are probably better companies out there but they treated me well while i worked for them hence that is why i am going back to them now.

Their not paying me anything. DS and I made a contract, they trained me to be a truck driver and in return I agreed to give USA Truck a year. All I can report about DS is what I have observed with my 2 eyes. Are there things about DS/C1 that I hated? Yes there are several things. The first one is C1 did NOT prepare me better for USA Truck. The 2nd was the hurried pace at school. Its just that I will not jump on the anti DS bandwagon till I see credible AND substantiated reports that they did with criminal intent defraud anybody. This is what I thought I read was a charge leveled at them in this thread. And until I see credible AND substantiated reports about DS defrauding I will always think of them as a reputable company as well as recommend them to others. (as I have done now 3 times since my graduation)

Actually c-1 doesn't just send you home during the first week. you can be in 2nd week ready to go over the fence and be dropped by a carrier. c-1 will do everything they can to help you find a new carrier. c-1 primarily has students for pam or usa, but they also have had students end up at werner, swift, schneider and a cple others. c-1 can actually draw upon over 100 companies to try to keep you in the school.
