Actually sir, everything you listed was spot on! I've been researching and studying this thing for some time now and don't plan on making a move til next spring anyway. I have capital of my own but not using it. That wouldn't be smart. I don't know why people use their own $$ to start a business. This country it based on capitalism. ...you never use your own $$$ except for contingencies.
In that case you are ahead of most. If you have the $ to make it through the lean times you will do fine. I wish you the best of luck. @skateboardman let it go, it's just not worth it. We know we have a good gig. And everyone needs to be in there happy place. If everyone had the same place it would be awfully crowded.
Just gotta get some FB experience some kind of way. The only thing that gets me with it is those #### pipes! I would be worried they may fly off the trailer. That the only thing that kept me away from FB these past 10 yrs.
Try chaining down concrete pipe that is ment to roll of the back of the trailer. Smallest piece is 12" round and range up to 72". Anything over that gets picked off
I get the fear of pipes. The advantage we have is that we pick our loads. If you don't want to haul pipes then you don't. But sometimes it pays pretty well so you just learn how to secure it well.
Plastic Pipes are actually easy. Belly straps and straps over top with a twist in em and tighten down the won't go nowhere. Steel pipes like the ones in Texas I haven't hauled but with pipe stakes and enough straps I imagine it's the same
Any mercer drivers on? Does mercer have a payroll or do you guys have to go hunting down people for your money?
Have you read the Mercer thread? I know the answer but I had to read through so much and learned a lot because of it. I recommend you read that thread.
