Does your company set the qualcomm settings or does qualcomm set the standard for all companies? Because two weeks ago they came out with an update to where you can't even move your truck an inch without it putting you into drive. The problem with that is when I pull up after fueling or moving out of a dock it puts me into drive mode now. I want to make sure this change doesn't affect all companies or was this change made by the little 20 year old girls in the office that know nothing about trucking. If it is limited to the company I drive for then I may leave.
Quick question for those of you on qualcomm elogs

i don't have a box, but i'm thinking it's a company setting, everyone seems to have different settings with whomever they work for.
i would leave, too. it's all BS if you can't move at all without burning up your minutes.
the one company i DID work for that put the box on my truck, we were allowed to drive 10 minutes before driving kicked in. but when it did. it counted from the moment the truck moved. if you parked within that 10 minutes, it started over again.OOwannaBE Thanks this. -
Your company sets it. May have been an oversight. Just call your logs department and express your concern. You may have to go to your yard to get it fixed tho.

Yeah I have talked to them multiple times about it and had the shop look at it and they said they will review it. Not sure if that is true or just a blowoff. Once more drivers leave and their earnings drop I am sure they will have to change it back.

Company sets it. My old company bumped the QC into drive time at 15 mph. My current company bumps you into drive when you travel a mile and a half. That's really annoying what your QC does. I'd wanna quit the company too if mine behaved like that.
OOwannaBE Thanks this. -
Company. Ours is 25mph or 2 miles.... but she pitches a fit at you if you're OUT and start easing around somewhere repositioning.
She's annoying -
The last company I worked for had a speed/distance threshold like the jammer910Z said. I think ours was over 55 or 3 miles. If you went over either threshold, it would put you on the driving line going retroactive to the time you first moved the truck. They set it that way because we had a few warehouses within a short distance from one another on city streets and they didn't want to penalize us for a small move to grab our loaded trailer when we had real driving to do later.
But one guy had your problem. It was something with his unit specifically, and they fixed it. Just speak up. -
We got a message stating dot is requiring changes. No more cheating, driving around the truck stops, while being off duty.
OOwannaBE and jammer910Z Thank this. -
It is too lax , but I'm not complaining. I don't abuse too much , but it's nice to be able to ease around without starting a new 14 or screwing up a 10.roadmap65, OOwannaBE, Mattflat362 and 1 other person Thank this. -
