Under estimate my thoughts on this matter as it has been on my mind for a month.

If you have that much of a "situation" at home, drive the truck to the house and unload it.

Then take care of the situation.

The possible consequences of "moving forward with what must be" are:

    A) Termination

    B) Swift reporting the truck stolen

    C) Swift putting a "Truck Abandonment" on your HireRight report

    D) If you're fortunate, you MAY be able to get a job with some fly by night construction company in town, hauling gravel in a barely legal end dump trailer.

Only YOU can decide if the possible consequences are worth "what must be done".

    That's all

You can PC as far you want. Company policy is 25 miles. Either way, if you do anything but sit there and wait for them, they’re going to #### up your DAC. Just drive home, or throw your crap out if you want to get another driving job one day. How much #### can you possibly have? Just throw it away, lots of guys ditch their #### when they quit. Just drive home if it’s that important to you. It’s not illegal. They’ll just #### your DAC

This is helpfull, if im an at will employee. And I take the action to drive the vehicle home clean out my belongings and leave the truck at a nearby truckstop, then call the company and tell them the need to come get it, that wouldn't be truck abandonment would it?

First of all, your posts are disrespectful as ####. You need to check your attitude when you seek advice or else you'll end up with no advice.

Now....your first #### up was telling them that you wanted to quit. Now they control your destiny. Its weekend dispatch, the baby sitters of the company. Nothing is probably gonna happen til Monday at the earliest. In the future, don't tell a company that you're going to quit. Request hometime first and get your stuff out of there. Then you tell them you want to quit. You'll probably have to wait till Monday morning call your terminal and follow their instructions. Dont move their truck or do anything til you talk to somebody, and don't leave the truck where it's at because you'll #### your career up.
