True... I'm not trying to be... They was informed ahead of time about my entire situation not just telling them that I quit. They knew of my intentions. I've been out for three months OTR for them and have requested home time for the following Monday. My 70 hour clock has but 6 hours left on it, and they dont have any loads going that way. If they refuse to give me the upcoming home time cause of my notice, wouldn't that be coercion.

Okay.... even if it's following the last loads destination drop off and empty trailer removal from the consignee? Completing the last assignment.. If I'm able to use my Drive time to return home on following my last drop off thats part of the trip correct?

If you move that truck without them telling you to do so you are going to screw yourself out of any future job. Wait until tomorrow morning and speak with someone at your company. You misunderstood my response.
firemedic2816 and tscottme Thank this. -
Leave it somewhere not at a terminal, then tell them they "need to come get it", is EXACTLY truck abandonment.Opus, firemedic2816, tscottme and 2 others Thank this.

You can use paper logs for personal conveyance. A little ELD doesn’t own you

What are they trying to coerce you to do?

Id say many including the mentor when he told me to go off duty to fuel the truck, that the company did t require it and to be off duty when getting unloaded. As well as being woke up from another company driver on a required 10 hour DOT to drop the trailer while on a 10 hour DOT rest period, because of running late status on three drops for the same load witch was due to unsafe driving conditions and the truck needed to be repaired
