You're killing me. Just, killing me.

HOW DO YOU SLEEP IF YOU HAVE TO HIT THE THROTTLE EVERY FIVE MINUTES?!?! Come on man.

    O.k......whatever.
That's what I was asking. IF....and I say IF you only have to stomp the throttle ONCE and it will idle forever....then they must have rectified the issue.

Asking people for a straight answer some times is a waste of time.

Then (when it is over 70 degrees) we idle the truck. Depending on truck, it will idle without you doing anything, OR you have to wait for "idle shutdown" message(5 minutes) , ONCE, tap the brakes or clutch, and truck will idle until it runs out of fuel.

If it runs out of fuel, it will not idle.

    All clear now?

Oh they did away with the idle restrictions? Good too know. Also good to Knight is paying accordingly for the work performed. Thanks for setting the record straight. I guess the training division will be closing shortly and they will turn their attention towards attracting expierianced drivers. Times are changing.

They still have idle restrictions, as explained numerous times. But they are hardly draconian, as again explained numerous times.

As far as getting paid for work performed, I never have a problem, but then I didn't just fall of the rutabaga truck, either. Sometimes you DO have to ask/demand for the $$.

As far as the training division goes, I don't really know. I can't remember the last time I saw a "Squire" truck, but maybe they still have that division. If they do, it's not a big part of the operation, AFAIK.

Attracting experienced drivers? With as many trucks as they have, I guess they are just hoping to get drivers, period. If a few experienced drivers come in that mix, so much the better.

Look, I agree they are nowhere near the "dream trucking job", but they work for me, at this time in my trucking career. I just want to make decent money, and still not kill myself.

I've done local, home every night, jobs, and home every night meant about 6 hours in the bed, and get up in the middle of the night to hit it again. Cool, but it will wear you out, and in the end, you don't see any more of your family than with OTR.

Like I keep saying, Knight is not that bad, and not that great, but putting out false, outdated, information does no one any good.

Tracy I'm not bagging on you at all. I apologize if I came across that way. I'm just punching Knight because it's fun. In all my 34 years no one has outright ripped me off like Knight did. A used car salesman, maybe buying stuff on EBAY or Craigslist....never once have I been had in day to day life and that's when you expect it. When it comes from your employer its like "WTH! was that!" I know not everyone gets ripped off by Knight but most do and the worst is when they don't even know it because they are too naive to this profession.
