Racism in truck stops 2021

Sometimes a shower won't be available for whatever reason. As refreshing as they are be prepared for the next let down.

 

Pretty sure your more a victim of lazy truck stop personnell/poor scheduling here than racism.

ESPECIALLY with the "did you save any water for the rest of us" comment, that probably meant he was in there for quite a while, likely 45 min to an hr

Sure theres racist twits about but this really doesnt look like that at all (if they also dropped a few n words or other derogatory slurs i could see the point, but thats not what youre saying happened)

 

Not a victim of racism most likely.
Look truck stops pay little more then minimum wage and most of the people I’ve seen clean the showers are obviously paid the bare minimum.
Yeah they probably did “clean” the showers in 15mins after shift change.
I went into a shower to see toe nails all over the place, and it was “mopped”
Meaning they splashed the same mop water they use in the bathrooms and around the toilet in the shower floor.....

There’s a reason I carry bleach water in a spray bottle into the showers.
Spray the sink/inside the shower brush my teeth shave then take shower and know I shouldn’t get anything on my feet.

 

Saw that bit after posting, gives me a bit of pause, but dont know that stop personally, most stops i shower at will just tell me how long itll be, thats been 2 hrs sometimes, sometimes theve said itll be 2 hrs, and 20 minutes later im showering.

Giving the benefit of a doubt, attendant didnt have anyone to clean till you went and brushed your teeth or something and a manager or co worker unexpectedly did so in the interim is a possibility. its also possible attendant only cleans showers when theyre all empty (but this goes back to lazy/bad at being in a hospitality/service job, but really, arent most people?)

Id concede a possibility, but dont know it rises to a probability

 

Errrt this actually makes more sense now that i look at it from a different lens.

Sapp bros in slc, youre at a big truck stop middle of the night female looking for a shower, i dont think it has ANYTHING to do with race, its all about sex, and i mean that exclusively of gender, she thought you were a lot lizard. Utah, not terribly pro-sex prostitute.
*(Was going to say sex worker, then chgd mind, reread after posting and saw i didnt change it, i am not a sex prostitute, im just a flatbed prostitute )

Not saying thats right or that she should judge you even if you were, but it makes a bit more sense in that frame than from the race angle
