Racism in truck stops 2021

Well the overall consensus here seems to feel that what happened to you was not a racist thing. Are you still feeling like it was?

 

I'm going to self identify as a poc, so I can yell racism everytime I feel slighted, wether real or perceived. Not quite sure what a poc is, but it sounds like a good plan.

 

I should've made the popcorn a few minutes earlier... You can just tell when it's gonna be one of THOSE threads.

Totally! It's the "grievance du jour"!! It also "entitles" you to smash plate-glass windows and steal from stores -- all with complete impunity!

 

Most of the time I tell someone I'm a truck driver, they'll at some point tell me I don't look like one.

Should I take it as a compliment, or be insulted and cry some sort of 'ism, and what 'ism would that be?

 

Black when set on fire, red when sunburned, yellow when jaundiced....
White people are ALL colors, greedy jerks, cant settle on one

 

Likewise, I could use some entertainment today.

 

Lot lizards no actual idea, only ever had 2 knocks in the past 7-8 years

Prostitutes on the other hand, funny story, was 16, christmas eve, was sent to go pick up a family for church service, grabbed mcdonalds on the way. Erie pa, so it was snowing and cold, girl waved me down while i was slow rolling looking for the street and house number.

Asked if she needed a ride, she said yes, i asked her where she was going, a few streets over she said and i said okay, just tell me where to turn. Get there and she gets ready to get out and starts throwing a lot of very obvious hints that i should park the car and join her.

Being a naive 16 year old boy i just thought she meant to the door, so i say okay, one minute ill just walk you up to your door.

She stops, looks at me funny and says, "do you know what im doing?" I answer no as it slowly dawns on me that i have misread the situation.

She laughed and told me then asked have me drop her off back where she had been. I counteroffered with an offer to go to service, but she declined. Yeah that was ummmm quite embarassing on many levels .

Only time i ever picked up a prostitute i didnt even know i was doing it.

As for age, i only say that cause a hydrant as a shower is generally an 80s and earlier thing if the stories ive been told are true.
