Not sure if any of you got the message but all drivers under 1 year time with the company got a 2 cent raise that went into effect on July 3rd.

Now that I don't understand. The people under a year got a raise. That's why they are losing their experienced drivers. Why didn't everyone get a raise? Those people in the office are complete "IDIOTS".

I think they are having trainer problems. The trainers that team with their students get screwed. USA is incapable of dispatching teams. They will give a team truck a 300 mile trip that doesn't deliver for three days. Team trucks aren't supposed to stop except for fuel, showers, and food. Usually all in the same stop. I've teamed before. I know. USA doesn't have a clue about how to team.

Thats what my old trainer is currently having problems with. He is a both Phase 1 & 2 trainer and when he goes into Phase 2, it is about a 50/50 shot whether or not he gets a team load or not. I don't think he ever runs team constantly when he's in Phase 2 either it is just a hit and miss until that student gets off his truck.

This is USAK's way of enticing the new drivers to actually stay with the company.

Well, I've gotten word that starting the first of the year, trainers will get a travel agent (fm) that is dedicated to just the trainers and should know how to run a team. If this actually happens it will be a good thing. But I've seen their good intentions go bad before so I won't hold my breath.

As far as raises go, the trucking industry as a whole has not had an increase in the cap for a very long time. That's is why a lot of the veteran drivers are hanging up their hats. It seems the trucking companies are dedicated to cheap labor, no matter what the cost. That's why so many are pushing electronic logs, so they can hire those that can't do simple math.

All general freight trainers yes. All trainers on dedicated account keep their current fleet manager
