Personally I don't care either way. I keep one in my pocket. If a customer requires me to wear one, I'll throw one on for the duration of the visit. Most often i excuse myself once I am done doing the stuff I need to be there for. There are a few customers that want me to put their DRs on the back of my trailer and they pull off what is theirs and put the signed DRs back on the floor of my trailer while I wait in the truck. Works for me.
Other places nobody wears a mask so I put mine back in my pocket. I never had a issue giving people space. Even before this all kicked off I was never a people person and didn't want others in my bubble. I mean, you guys are all alright. But some of the others I deal with I kinda want my space.LtlAnonymous, Gearjammin' Penguin, Cardfan89 and 3 others Thank this. -

I would say try and tough it out, but who knows how long things will stay bad.LtlAnonymous, McUzi and Digman943 Thank this. -
Also been thinking about getting a new job.
Our pay is ok and the benefits rock. The real issue is that I am worried about the stability of our parent company YRC. So far nothing positive is coming out of their finances and I am worried they will combine our Holland barns with YRC barns and with one year of being with the company, there is no way I would have enough seniority to survive a merger. Oddly enough, South Eastern Freight Lines has a P&D spot open. Thinking about jumping ship before YRC tanks. Quitting while being ahead is not that same as quitting.Gearjammin' Penguin, Cardfan89, misterG and 3 others Thank this. -
speedyk, road_runner and Digman943 Thank this.

If you were to leave, where would you consider going that could match or come close to the benefits (assuming my previous statement was true, if the benefits aren't the priority then disregard).
Your posts that I've read over the time I've been on this form lead me to think that this type of decision began with serious calculation on your end, even for it to be a thought in your mind...Cardfan89 Thanks this. -
Let me give you a 11 PM Saturday rant, and I am chugging medically ill advised quantities of beer at this point.
But let's say you got a family of four and so do I. You make $100k a year and I make $1 million a year. And let's say we both had good insurance but I had a child that needed to be treated extensively in a hospital and had a poor quality of life.
Aren't you better off than me? Even though I make 10 times more than you, don't you think you have more wealth? Not having to worry about the well being of your family should be part of your security and be a sign of wealth.
So back to YRC. The pay and benefits are great. Except the company is so mismanaged that the only reason why we are even still a thing is because everyone else is chipping in to bail us out. Tax payers are sending in money just to make 3 months of payroll and benefits.
I finally got to a point where I just don't feel comfortable with that concept.Gearjammin' Penguin, McUzi, misterG and 4 others Thank this. -
I would be lying if I said that would hurt my feelings, now that YRC is starting to horn in on my good customers. -
road_runner and Cardfan89 Thank this.
