That’s what I have to do with the one in my territory. Thankfully I don’t go there much.

Truth be told I won’t even go to Chick-fil-a to eat, unless it’s at the crack of dawn.

Why is it so quiet in here?

Not much has changed with me, still driving for FXF delivering that purple promise.:D I've been stuck on 4-10 bid for the last few months now. It's nice knowing what time some customers are open till and what time they take lunch, so I can go deliver to other places instead. Before when I first started it was a total dog and pony show.

Been thinking about switching over to Air Products lately. I even got a referral from one of their drivers, but I might have to wait till I get 3 years of experience. I'm only few months short on that. The crappy part about it's that most of their customers are in Nj, NYC and Long Island. Also the commute to work would be 55 minutes one way instead of 10 minutes that it takes me now to get to fedex yard. I can swallow the commute time, but the driving part around NYC/Long Island for some reason doesn't sit right in my stomach. Decisions, decisions. If only I could bring a 12 pack to work....:biggrin_2559:

Anywho I'll catch you guys later or I should say see you in the next few months?;) 732.gif

That short commute is priceless. Keep that in mind before you jump ship. That’s what is keeping me at FXF. My terminal is 6 miles from my house. Oh and if your looking into cylinder delivery that is worse than food service. Humping those cylinders and messing with ratchet straps will screw you up in the long run. All the guys I worked with at Airgas had new knees, hips, and multiple wrist surgeries.

From my short time in Cryo, I'd never seen an Air Products cylinder truck, only bulk tankers. Not to say it doesn't exist though. You're right though. My location at a different company was only bulk tank, but another local location was all cylinders, and boy those drivers were visibly beat up.

I got a rant. Quick one from last week.

Me and my friend #52 have the same 9 AM start time. Come Friday we both clocked in and and he pulled a bill out of his trip packet.

"7 AM guarantee .. it's 9 now and it's a 2 hour drive. You think I'm gonna make this one?"

Quick smirk back. Tell dispatch you drive a truck. Not a ####### time machine.

Don’t be a stranger, it’s nice to see more FxF drivers active on here since @McUzi turned his back on us!

Stay where you are! My commute is 2.8 miles. When I did pneumatic tanker it was 73 miles one way. Nowadays a 15 minute commute sounds rough.

and what’s with the cylinder delivery guy stuff? That’s what I’m doing. I wouldn’t consider it harder than foodservice. I roll one or two cylinders a couple of feet onto a dolly. Everything goes up and down my lift gate not on a ramp. I park the truck as close as possible to the delivery. It’s not hard work. Keeps you in great shape and I don’t feel beat up. Someone’s gotta do it.

Cops had this car surrounded and their weapons drawn on a car this morning on 65. I always figured they would block off traffic before a possible shoot out. Was kind of freaky. Thankfully I didn’t hear or see any shots. Be careful out there.

I've been held at gunpoint and I've also used a gun in self defense in another situation. It sucks for both sides equally cause you don't know what will happen next.

Hope everyone got out of that situation ok.
