    Funny . Now that I remember, Reddaway grounded their entire intermountain region fleet on New Years Eve for no other reason then them not wanting us to dodge drunk drivers.

    I ran today, Fortunately I got everything off.

    Some of us don’t get to be one of the two dozen other guys that called out, since they do it all the time. :rolleyes:

    Come to think of it I don’t even remember seeing any other company’s trucks.

    Yesterday the guy that runs the route just north of mine had his first stop closed with a 7 skid order, and he TOLD them they would be closed days ago. :banghead:

    No rest for Linehaul. Ran my run today. Came in tonight all the night bids are running. All the usual suspects hooking their sets heading out. Only a 3 day weekend for us.

    Yeah, I totally brought back almost all my freight. 12 stops and I attempted 7 of them. Two got delivered and by the time I got to the 8th stop, there were way too many returns to work around cause 5 stops were closed. Did one pickup cause they closed early and was out of options other than coming back. Supervisor and my loader will be pissed on Monday.

    I don’t get why so many people worked these past few days when most customers are closed. FedEx calls both days a holiday with the exception of big shippers who make special arrangements. No P&D routes, no scheduled linehaul, it’s that simple.
