@road_runner i like where your head is at as far as boogieing out of dodge when. They sign. My question, does your handheld allow you to define a stop end time or is it tied to when you close that shipment?
I wonder if going to your next stop could lead to additional delay that isn’t accurate as well as to “falsification of documentation” type conversations with the company when that certain one consignee or shipper calls up.

We also need to go paperless, but that's another story.Trucker61016, road_runner and Cardfan89 Thank this. -
I figured FXF would’ve been the first to switch to those.Trucker61016 and road_runner Thank this. -

Good Grief.....I know why WE'RE not using hand held tech. Too much interline freight with different bar codes. Not enough uniformity. As well as the cost.
But for FXF, not to be using this? Astounding.Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
I never used our city handhelds, but I can say the ones for the road are a thousand times better than the previous device (commonly called "the brick"). My favorite feature is the real time ETA of my meet driver if I'm running a meet and turn. There isn't a whole lot of missing features besides paperless bills and related functions (hazmat tally, recording axle weights, etc).Trucker61016, road_runner and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Reddaway would flat out discipline us if we got caught not adding accessory charges, while their sister company Holland puts little to no pressure on us to add them. Hell, I am worried I am doing all this extra work to no benefit to my carrier. Today I had 1,500 lbs of residential freight I had to break down and handmuck into a garage cause it was too long and heavy for my liftgate.Trucker61016, MACK E-6, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this. -
