Had a rude/weird lady today.
I had a residential no contact info I said what the hell easy day I’ll drive to their house anyway.
lady proceeds to talk to me through a glass window telling me she “doesn’t want any”. I said “okay, doesn’t matter to me”.
And then she proceeds to chase me to my truck. I understand soliciting being annoying, but dang what if someone is trying to tell you your kids hurt, or your house is on fire lmao

I realized how I’m going to deal with residentials now. I called one multiple times today no answer. Called again when I got there, no answer. Saw cars in the driveway lights on. Real long gravel driveway. Not walking it, not breaking my back getting it to the garage. No one comes out. Curbside delivery it is. Took a picture by the mailbox, blocked their number when they do eventually call back. I tried. For reference I do go above and beyond when they do answer but I’m not dealing with the fallout after I give it my best effort.Digman943, Speed_Drums, Gearjammin' Penguin and 7 others Thank this.

Spam calls are getting to be so prevalent that many people, myself included, won't answer the phone if they don't know who's calling. I would suggest texting to the number first and let them know that you will be calling.gentleroger, FLHT, celticdriver23 and 3 others Thank this.

My boys and I had to ride our bicycles to the overpass to make a few truckers happy . I know it makes my day when kids are doing the arm pull. We got a lot of air horns blaring at us on top of the bridge. We just had to continue on to the gas station to get snacks. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

I have to admit I’ve always been a bit on the fence on this sort of thing. I have no way of knowing if I’m being mocked or not.prostartom, Mike2633 and Digman943 Thank this.

I had a little kid do the arm pull twice, and on the third arm pull he flicked me off. I was so irrational I wanted to beat up that 12 year old.Texas_hwy_287, Digman943 and Mike2633 Thank this.

Today was what I call a “Murphy” day…. What can go wrong, went wrong.
14 deliveries, of which 11 got made. Of which 8 were hand unloads with no lift gate, of which only 3 customers helped me, of which only one had a hand cart. My cart broke at my first one, so I was SOL the rest of the day.
Was given 5 pickups, none got made. I got sent on a wild goose chase to a work site, where I had already been sitting for a hour already. The foreman came out and said he didn’t know I was there…. Hello? Big white truck, 48’ white trailer with your freight on the very end.
You looked at me 5-6 times standing there by the closed gate yelling at you.
Definitely glad it’s Friday tomorrow….Speed_Drums, MACK E-6, Texas_hwy_287 and 2 others Thank this. -
That's when you leave. And when dispatch calls frantically about the guy needing his freight and you need to turn around, you tell 'em to pound sand.MACK E-6, hotrod1653, Digman943 and 1 other person Thank this.
