Yeah my terminal is like a bingo hall at the vfw. A bunch of old grumpy men. The biggest problem with electric jacks is when you have the trailer stacked all the way to the door with 3 pallets on the back of the trailer turned up on their side to fit everything. You can pick up a manual and turn it on its side or pick up up and put it on top of a pallet. Cant do that with electric.

You should have people that unload it for you then it doesn't matter if it's electric or not.

Thats why we get in and out and dont sit for 18 hours waiting like OTR trucks. Never fails, i see an OTR guy lose his #### because i wheel into a place at mach 7, throw the #### off and blast away within 5 minutes of arriving.

Yea if I don’t have a small trailer I’ll bring a normal pallet jack with the electric jack. Typically only need the electric jack for a stop or 2. Well sometimes a few but I agree with what others have said the electric jack is good and bad.

8 skid liftgate delivery isn’t bad if one it isn’t raining, and two it’s not an inside delivery.

I had a 5 skid one the other day, they wanted it inside and I said nope. Pallets wouldn’t fit thru the door for one, and two my boss said that my job ends when I get it off the lift gate and drop it by their front door.

The salon owners were not very happy. Lol

Tomorrow myself and a co-worker will be in the North Dakota Special Olympics Convoy in Fargo. We’re both proud to represent Cross Country Freight there.

I got my truck a bath, and gotta say it looks pretty good.

I’m 6 months with these guys now, and can honestly say I wish I’d have came here instead of XPO. It’s a literal night and day difference between them. More laid back, less stress plus knowing I’ll be on the same route and same everything really helps.

Only stress I have here is when I a DOT certified county deputy friend of mine decides to mess with me. He knows he can inspect my equipment and that it’ll pass. So it helps both of us out.
    Have a great weekend everyone.
