Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

Had a SLC P&D driver use my truck on my 10 and same thing happened to my Volvo. Broke my back window. I just rolled my eyes when dispatch told me. I said "you know what happened?" Nothing they can do. You get what you pay for here. Lower pay = rookie no F's giving drivers. Yup, SLC drivers are divas here.

 

So you're in Idaho? For some reason I thought you were out of SLC, RR.

 

That's because they are um, "part of the IN group."

It's a Utah epidemic. I think it's something in the water here. Or maybe it's from all the nuclear testing they did outside of Vegas in the '50's...

Take a look at this book; Under the Banner of Heaven, written by John Krakauer. It is a non fiction exploring the roots of the LDS religion. If you read this, you will come to a greater understanding of why a lot of things are the way they are here in Utah.

I believe that is all I will say about it right now.

 

Yeah, their stil bad about light cords and flaps. If your truck gets stuck there cause of service then they think it's extra or something.

 

I worked there for a bit as a contractor, was on nights doing training. I was asking the crew about SLC culture and why it was so stiff. They took me to the downtown Denny's at o'dark 30 when we went on break. Total freak show, all the repressed people were out, in full costume and makeup. Like Young Frankenstein x10.

We were the only squares in there.

All that stuff has to come out somewhere. The narrower the outlet, the more pressure is behind it.

 

I personally love the beer there in SLC and even more the precise measuring of spirits during ####tail time. It's like I could dump my days salary to not even get buzzed. How awesome of a place. Oh and the Ramada by the airport must be at least 4.5 stars, I just love that place!
