I don't believe you get very many points for them, if they are laying in a traffic lane. OTOH, just catch the lip on the base with an outside tire, and watch those things fly. I believe you can nearly retire on the points from that!
also pox on the ######## who don't write anything up.
Grabbed a dolly, hooked a set, drove off, got to the terminal to break teh set and the 5th wheel handle won't stay in the released position.
finally had to go find a warehouse worker, here hold this out and watch your feet while I pull forward.
and then of course, switch dollies again.[/QUOTE]
Good reason to carry a decent large vice grip!

Vice grip also works for those sliding tandem handles that don't stay put.
Bob Dobalina and Big Don Thank this. -
Coworker called in this morning. "Hey, I need to take the day off, there was alot of blood in my urine this morning. I am worried and want to get seen."
Our response was to have him switch routes and put him in route that passes the hospital between stops. He was instructed that he was allowed his 30 min lunch break and to exit the hospital once his break expires. He can work out his medical issues on his own time and dime when he is not clocked in. Too bad we are entering peak month so he may not get medical treatment till August
Last month my other co-worker broke his leg during a delivery. They asked him if he was able to crawl back to his truck and drive it back.

Blood in urine is not something to mess with. I got myself hospitalized for 6 days with a nasty kidney infection a week after starting a new job, by ignoring that. Doctors told me in no uncertain terms to lay off energy drinks, coffee and soda...their contention was that a weakened immune system started the infection and all the sugary crap I was ingesting fed it.
My company was nice about it, thankfully. I walked right back in to work once I was released, with no issues from them.misterG, Mike2633 and road_runner Thank this. -
Lucky. We do not allow sick days at all. We have to use vacation days if we need medical attention. Those days have to be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. We just don't have the manning to allow anyone to be gone.
Funny thing is they do pay us five sick days a year. We just end up with the extra pay at the end of the work year. -
I had blood in my urine last year. Turned out to be renal cancer. Screw to company. No job is worth dying for. Joe Bob don't need his skid of widgets nearly as bad as that driver needs his health.
