Problem is though, there are few good options in his part of the world. Hell, we don't even have one terminal in his entire state

First thing he told me when he took over was "you are the (racially explicit word) from now on. You no longer get a start time, and I am removing you from your route. You are also the lowest ranking from now on and will be treated accordingly." -

you are clearly the abused spouse in this relationship
you need to leave.
although if you had a tape of that "racially explicit word", that should be good for retirement
I wouldn't quit, i'd just stop showing up (like office space) -
Yeah. . That is what I am comparing it to. An unreconcilable marriage. I refuse to play his games and I get punished over it. He has backed off of me ever since I told them I was going back into active duty military service. He is hoping I will change my mind and stick around. They absolutely can not afford to lose another driver. We've cycled through 25 people in five years. Now the word is out how badly we get treated and people don't even want to apply with us.
Why did I show them my hand? So they have at least three months to hire someone else. My issue is with one person and I don't want to walk out of the job and screw my coworkers that I like.misterG Thanks this. -
Remember, it is the company that chooses to sanction this sort of horse manure.LoneCowboy and road_runner Thank this. -
It's not like any other job where you can walk into an office and go "hey, ya got a minute?". Our TM comes by once or twice a year.misterG Thanks this. -
I am financially savy. Been setting about $400-$600 aside each month for the past five years. I am half tempted to just throw down my two weeks and just take the summer off. I got enough money saved up to be good till next spring if the Army rejected me for some reason. It's tempting.

It's just sad. Everyone around me is going out with their jet skis and big ### campers having a great time. Zip lining with their families and doing all the fun #### you see on bright colourful resort brochures.
I spend all day navigating around these people wondering why I am not one of them. I got a wife and two dogs. Why can't I be on of those people having a good time? Everyone else is doing it.
