One that gets me is Consolidated Electric Distribution and Crescent Electric Supply. One is CED, the other is always marked as CES. Both are within one block of each other and have identical freight since they are both distributers of electical wholesale supplies.

And yes, due to the close proximity of each other, their freight gets loaded side by side. Sometimes not in the right order when they both get multiple pallets.

HAHAHA That's funny crap. I mean once in a while mistakes happen, usually what I did was an honest mistake and is a rarity, I had to do two Marriott properties that are next to each other and that's how that went, but to never read a label and deliver a skid of light bulbs to a transmission shop that's a different ball game right there.

I said it before and I'll say it again. When I die, I want my morning dock crew to lower my casket. That way they can let me down one last time.

When I was working at Subway, I was coming in to work to open and the FSA driver was already there making a delivery. As we were a key drop store this was usually the norm. Except for the fact that we didn't get deliveries on the day he was there. Turns out he was covering for another driver and was supposed to be dropping at the Subway inside the mall, not the one outside which was closer to the office buildings. He even said to me "I wondered why I had to use a different key to get in."

Haha that's awful... I'm lucky to not have any confusing stops like that. But there are one or two guys that I work with that have 2 of the same restaurant in the same city, one of them being at a mall. It's definitely a difficult thing to let happen, but I bet it could happen under the right circumstances.

I've told our regular night line driver that he isn't allowed to take vacations any more.

We have a fuel issue at our yard, so it's practice to take alternate trucks down to PHX so we can use their on-yard fuel. This fill-in driver comes up, and it's his first time doing linehaul. He takes "Carl's" truck down with half a tank, and it comes back with about half a tank.

"Carl" is all like "That lyin' $#(^*, he said he fueled it and...!!" Later, I ask FID, "Did you fill both tanks?"

    Cue deer-in-headlights look. :biggrin_2551:

OK, we've all been greenhorns and done something that, in retrospect, was made of stupid. So that night, not three hours later, he takes "Jerry's" truck down.

And he did it AGAIN. Only one tank filled.

I weep for the future of humanity. :biggrin_2552:

Having two fuel tanks and only filling one is certainly made of stupid.
