got to do a recovery last night. (someone broke down, go and get their trailers so it makes it on time)
the miles plus an $100. yeah, pretty sweet night.

who the hell only fills one tank? How long has this guy been driving? 20 minutes? Seriously, how dumb is that?

Alright everyone I did some asking and found out the goofy double axle single tire converter was used for weight distribution, which is what I had originally thought.

Like I said 40 years of using that converter and I swear they were the only people that used them.

I guess as far as drive-ability goes, the two axle converter was very stable and in that sense they were liked very much. As far as usability goes, they were heavy, a royal pain to be moved around the yard and had zero margin for error. They were all but impossible to move by hand and you had to be dead nuts on center for them to work no forgiveness at all.

I think by in large most of them are gone and retired now, there maybe one or two left in Michigan, but I would have to believed they are quarantined off and out of service. I'm sure most of them though are in the scrap yard at this juncture in time.

Just got a call from a competing LTL company I applied to a few weeks ago. Gonna have an interview tomorrow morning before I go to work. It would mean more money per hour and overtime after 8 hours a day as opposed to after 10 hours a day at my current job .

Too bad we lost all of ours with the tranverse mounted springs under the fifth wheel. Those were light and rode smooth.

My guess would be the lazy idiot that only sees one hose and doesn't feel like turning the truck around.

We have a handful of those...solid mounted axle and sprung 5th wheel. As light as we run, they're awful bouncy.

Had to do a super remote residential delivery. Fifty miles of highway, then make a random right and drive 20 miles of gravel into the middle of nowhere. 3k worth of cabinets that had to be handunloaded inside of a trailer that was about 115 degrees.

I ended up taking some cool pics though. 20170712_173959.jpg
