Those can be interesting sometimes, especially when there's multiple houses along that long gravel driveway and none of them are marked.

Oh yeah well none of you guys have our cool single tire 2 axle dollies that nobody else in the world had! Were special :p:confused::rolleyes:;) Or were special...company management had a change of heart and sent all those things to the scrap yard. Like I said I think there's only a few left now.

I think that trailer is probably also retired now as well. Yeah it probably is that photo is old my god that photo was taken in Chicago in the early 2000s when GFS was still running transit from Chicago to Grand Rapids at night. That was taken before Great Lakes West (Kennosha, Wisconsin Warehouse) was even a division or thing.

You call ahead and request as much detail as possible. Half of my trip was a straight shot. 10 miles of following the power lines that towered over my head. There are some street signs out there but alot of directions are natural or man made landmarks. "There will be a large beaverdam on the right, look for an abandoned truck and make an immediate left turn, then on your third cattle guard crossing hook a right."

That's basically what I went with yesterday. You do not want to get yourself lost this far off the main roadway.

Then what Mack said... It can get confusing if there are multiple houses. I actually banged on the wrong door one time.

    amateur hour last night

from dispatch to other trucks to the gate workers.

Am I the only one who actually wants to do his job?

and truckers, jeebus. really you can't pull into a straight line and drop a trailer? Pretty sure they teach this on the first day of trucking school and you do it EVERY DAY. do it right or don't do ti at all.
