They do this on the turnpikes all the time. NY rest areas have marked LCV parking...it's completely irritating to pull in for my 30 minute break and find some OTR clowns have parked in them. I'm not above double-parking my 2 48's next to them, if there's room, though ;-)

I did sneak by with a SA tractor pulling a TA trailer on a (Temp) 4T axle weight, posted road. The signs were just put up the day before (Monday). With no warning.
Trooper got me literally 1\8 mile from the end of the restriction, and less than 2 miles from my next drop that required I use that route. Its the ONLY route to that stop from the North. Which is the direction I was coming from. Had I come from the south, which would have been 30 minutes longer from my last stop prior. I would have been 100% legal. All the way there and back. And not even have known about the weigh restriction.

Sadly, that (weight restricted) section also has a customer that we visit on a monthly basis with pallets of boxes and packaging supplies. And they are due for a shipment soon.

Though, the trooper DID give me the number to call for the County Secretary to get a permit. Before he let me go, with a verbal warning to not let him see me there again, without a permit.
While that STATE HIGHWAY which runs right through there is under construction AGAIN. For the second year in a row.

Wow. We are already down three drivers and a fourth guy that was supposed to fill in from a different terminal couldn't make it in.

They kicked me out at noon with over thirty stops. Then they added all the guaranteed deliveries in the nose of my last trailer as a way to "keep me motivated" to average 10 stops an hour.

Yeah no thanks. Not gonna stress myself out over their lack of planning. I'll do what I can and nothing more.

Oh no. Not just no, but HELL no.:biggrin_25516:

30 stops leaving the yard at NOON??? That is just insane.

I'd bust out laughing on the way out the door. I hope you didn't make a single pickup today either.

They tacked on 11 pickups. 41 stops in total. I got about a trailer load of returns. Not sure how many I missed. But I made all my pickups. 11 hours later I am taking my lunch break. Prolly not gonna get home till 7 PM.
