I'll be 42 this year so I'm not far behind. I don't feel old, just broken in, but I'm starting to notice some changes. My daughter wouldn't let me leave the house last night until she trimmed my eyebrows. During the process she mused to herself "Better get the ears too..."

but the hair on the head?
no, that stops growing..................., one of life's many cruel jokes.

so, I took today (tonight, friday night) off (in advance, cleared it with bosses weeks ago)

got a text last night that I'm getting paid minimum (we get a minimum mileage if we are available and there is no work, hasn't happened yet). about $160 just because.

unexpected and I think that's awesome and appreciated.

I'm 41 as well. Every one and a while I notice what I can only describe as a rogue ear-hair. They are unlike the normal ones in that they are course and fast-growing.

My theory is that they are caused by strange glitches in the DNA that allow for inch-long pubic hairs to sprout from random areas of the ear, seemingly overnight. Occasionally one of these mutations will be found sticking straight out of an eyebrow, as well.

I always pluck them then run to my wife to show off my prize. She's a good sport.

Heard my TM is bouncing from Reddaway to XPO. 8 months ago our sales regional now is the main man at MME(Midwest Motor Express) Crazy YRC driving out good people. A lot of Reddaway Guys went to MME. Place is getting sad due to YRC.

Work for Reddaway. Our head dispatcher went to ODFL. Our TM quit, our operations supervisor killed himself, and our sales guy went to ODFL. We also had a rash of linehaul guys swapping over to Peninsula Truck Lines. Yeah... YRC is ####### us good.

19 linehaul suppose to have 30+ lowest number I've seen. They've hired like 1-2 over the summer. Lol.

    aren't you in Denver?
They advertise all the time for linehaul

what's the deal? (besides it being a really hot market for drivers)

Yup. Just the market is too high for Reddaway. Reddaway pays .53cpm topped out everyone else is like .59-.64cpm in the LTL field. About 70k-80k a year.

Honestly Reddaway Linehaul in Denver is a piece of cake there. They're just happy that you show up for work. They don't bother you and it's hard to get canned. You have to really screw up to get canned. I guess the pay is too low for drivers in the area plus the equipment is older then most companies. Plus it's all nights no daylight runs. Mostly i80 Wyoming and i70. Also it's not a home everyday job. It has layovers and you can work part of the weekends. Which is a turn off for drivers.
