Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

This is just his first set. They're demanding that he get his butt back there by 1300 and get under another one, and it better all be done by 1800!!

 

Anyone else have a ####ty friday before labor day? Come in at 0730,red air line leaking air. No one the day before could be bothered to take it to the shop so I get to waste an hour getting the air lines replaced. Hook up to my trailer with 4 close by deliveries and one out of town delivery about 75 miles away that needs to be there by noon because it has been sitting in a hold trailer for at least a week. Finish that and get back at 1330 to pick up my second trailer with 11 deliveries. About 1600 get a message asking if I can go do the residential that was a 1000-1400 window. Responded I can go there after my next drop. Get to the residential at 1710-gated community no vendors allowed in after 1700. Terminal messages me that this needed to get delivered today(sitting in hold trailer for 2 weeks) and that I was told to go there asap since they close to trucks at 1700. I am getting mad now, responded that you did not tell me about the 1700 cut off and I made the decision to do the other delivery first based on the fact that I did not know the residential had to be done by 1700. Then they message me if i can come in on saturday to do that delivery. I get back little after 1900 with 4 returns. I told them I can only come in at 1300 since I have plans for the morning. The lady wants her #### at 0900. Well too bad. They asked another driver and he decided to come in and do it. I told him I owe him a case of beer, if he hadn't taken that saturday work then they would have tried to guilt me into taking it and I would have blown my stack and gotten fired for verbal assault. Terminal does not communicate all info to me but it is my fault- yeah #### that. I told them if they would have not asked when if I could go there next but just told me to go there next asap I would have gone there next. Apparently this lady called everybody above our terminal and there was a storm of emails-she wants her artsy fartsy made in china home accessories right the #### now. Yay friday!

 

The idiots who bought my company insisted I take this to the Landfill every week. Yes, it's liquid human waste from a port a potty company. They were too smart to know it's called a "Solid Waste Facility" for a reason. Too smart to know it's called a "Solid Waste Truck" for a reason. .... Doh! .... Too smart for me!
If you missed my OP. I am on unemployment now. Have a grant to upgrade to Class A.

 

Who gets to pay the ticket when you get pulled over for leaking liquid #### all over the roads? I used to drive a septic pump truck. Liquid #### is hauled in a TANK for a reason!

 

eh i have no complaints about my prelabor day friday. 10.25 hours to run my 600 mi / 4 dh including the 30 min break and 148 mi abiding by michigans 60 mph. nap then up to eat lunch with my little girl and begin the weekend.

 

I was very tired when yesterday ended, but no complaints working in volume truck, truck load is pretty straight forward go from A to B then unload at B either go to C for a back haul or back to A. Monday I'm either back to Cleveland or back to Buffalo. Getting better at Buffalo.
