Rentals aside we don't have anything else expensive Volvos is all GFS buys. They made the decision to go steady with Volvo about 10 years ago and while the relationship has had its ups and downs GFS and Volvo seem committed to each other.
Trailers are all Great Dane which I can't complain our trailers are pretty good.

You have the same issue I have with the Volvo dash hitting the side of your right knee? Like a pressure point there there , hurts like heck.

    Naptown and Mike2633 Thank this.

I'm with you though on the steering wheel horn. I often times accidentally set the horn off doing paper work on the steering wheel.

    Naptown Thanks this.

Don't want to stir the pot. But I gotta ask. Does anyone else carry while on the clock? I have a CCW and I am all about my 2nd Amendment.

Guessing I am not the only one that has a company policy barring firearm in and on company property

Just curious how the rest of you guys feel about being armed while driving

    misterG and Mike2633 Thank this.

I do not; company policy and all.

However, if events start getting really out of hand, that may change. Whichever end of the political spectrum you inhabit, it's pretty obvious that 'interesting times' are ahead.

misterG, road_runner, Mike2633 and 2 others Thank this.

Most of our liftgates run a trickle charger off the primary power cord. According to the company, they've all been converted to this new--and arguably better--system.

But they missed mine. Thankfully, I've still got the aux cord and plug on my tractor...

Mike2633 and MACK E-6 Thank this.

I wish. I go onto a military reservation to deliver sometimes so that is a no go. I keep my carry piece in my locked car so if I need to stop somewhere on the way home I can strap up. I do carry a folding razor box cutter while at work, at least it is something.

Mike2633, Naptown and road_runner Thank this.

I think just about every company has a
I think every company has that policy. I would be greatly surprised if there weren't quite a few locked up in personal vehicles though.

I'm lucky in that I go terminal to terminal mostly, so when I stop I'm in a secure facility. I've still got my tire thumper though, and a 3 cell Mag Lite that I did use for non flashlight purpose a few years ago when I was with another company.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.

I got to spend my morning getting fingerprinted etc. to renew my Hazmat endorsement. It was still good for another 2 years, but since my license expires soon I have to do it all again because it has to be good for the length of the license. Or something like that. Whenever the BMV ladies get snotty with me my ears shut off.

Dropped by the license branch and took the hazmat test on the way home, so once the government decides I'm not a terrorist I can go back and finalize, hopefully not having to spend hours doing so.

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
