I'm a 1911/Browning Hi-Power snob, so that'd be my choice out of what you listed. However, I'm a lefty and left hand Hi Powers are nonexistent, and mirror-image 1911's aren't exactly common either.

Ever have one of those not-many-deliveries-but every-one-sucks days?
1) A double-stacked 760# 8-foot skid going to a McRestaurant. We all know how 8-foot loads work on liftgates and pallet jacks. There's about 25 minutes.
2) Residential in Back of Beyond. A dehydrator, which was simple enough, and the lady was pleasant(and easy on the eyes), but just after dropping it, we heard this buzzing noise, and turn to see a pissed off 3-foot rattlesnake boogie into their garage. (If he hadn't scurried under the shelves, I'd have a new belt by now...) 15 minutes.
3) Roofing supplies to a house in a gated community that makes accessing Back of Beyond look like driving around the corner. One 6-foot skid weighing about 1500#, one 8-foot skid weighing about 800#, and a 300# tube that these idiots thought would be fine if it just rolled around on its own(have I mentioned this whole long-load/liftgate/pallet jack thing? Because it's really getting up my arse at this point). 35 minutes.
4) ANOTHER 8-foot skid of fluorescent lighting to an office supply store. Good news, they have a dock. Bad news, the bottom two layers are collapsing, necessitating a call-in for damage. 20 minutes.
5) A crate of workbench tops, 6'x6'. Awesome guy and his wonderful dog(who wanted to help a little too much), and it didn't take more than 15 minutes.
6) Three regulation skids(FREAKIN' FINALLY), and I'm off to do my pickups, get fuel, and head back to the yard. Between late freight, drive time and the plethora of annoyances, I put in over a 10-hour day for a total of eight stops. -
Yup. You got McF*cked on your freight. I would throw myself off the liftgate to fake an injury to bypass this type of day.
misterG, Gearjammin' Penguin, LoneCowboy and 1 other person Thank this.
