We will too, unless you’re a complete idiot who leaves a terminal with an operable scale without weighing first, or does what this knucklehead of yours does.

Did I read this right and this guy knew in advance of the consignee having moved, and he went to their old place anyway???

almost killed a 4 wheeler today

79,000lbs, going west on I70 in colorado.

You come down the west side of Eisenhower, (10 miles of 7% grade then it mellows out at the bottom and the speed limit goes back up) there's the exit in Silverthrone and then you immediately go up another 2 mile ish 6% grade. (climbing the other side of the dam). everyone got the picture?

speed limit is 65 and you want to be doing it at the bottom to get a good run at that next hill. I'm doing 65, foot on the floor, building speed, there's the on ramp WITH A CONTINUOUS effing LANE so the stupid 4 wheelers don't even have to pretend to merge (which they don't know how to do)

some ####### gets on the freeway and rolls right into the middle lane without even looking (where I am) doing probably 35mph. ####!! Braking, blowing horn, idiot just cuts left (luckily no one in the left lane) as I go blowing by.

    mirrors, what are they for.

Had a similar issue with customer that lived out in the boonies . Some remote residential and the only way in is over this sketchy one lane bridge.

Weight restrictions are 15t. They made it high enough to allow school buses and trash trucks to go up there, but low enough to restrict tractor trailer traffic.

Two phone calls later, the customer agreed to accept his freight at his workplace (which ironically was my fifth stop for something unrelated).

I managed to get a nice shot of the bridge. It's a beautiful area.

Yes, Mack, you read right. He knew in advance of the customer having moved. He DROVE PAST the new location. And went down the road anyway.
His excuse being that the old address was on the bills. And the office staff said to deliver to that address.
He did not stop and call in about the weight restriction, just went on down the road.

Let me add that the new location is NOT NEAR the old location. It is in the same town, but on the other end of it. Nearly 8 miles apart.

But did they update the address on the DR? He may just come out and say he followed the address that was printed by the carrier.

Can't really blame the driver IF the office told him to deliver to the address on the bol. I can think of several reasons to deliver to an old location and be legit.
No excuse for the bridge unless it was the only way there though.

My last day at Reddaway. Did not realize it would be this difficult to say my final goodbyes to my customers . Been with them for three years and it's sad to see them go .

They may be the devil , but they are the devil you know! Left my last job after ten years , should have left after six. But it is hard leaving , sometimes! Wipe them off your shoe , like the gift the puppy left you , and go on ! Know it is easier said then done , was at that job 1/4 my life (at that time). Now go be successful at your next job!
This day has been coming for a LONG time , and you deserve much better then the way they treated you ! Best of luck on the next chapter of your life ! Build you and your family a future .

Some of the BOL's have been changed. Everything we do is on paper. We don't have any electronics, aside from the AOBRD's (e-log) in the truck.
Even the owner himself (I was there today) has said that he will NEVER be getting deliveries to that old addy anymore. All shipments should come to the new locations.

I agree, to a point. I have a few regulars that I see whom you NEED to pay attention. Since they have multiple buildings, to include even noting the dock number or building designation on the BOL.

But he should have stopped and called in about the POSTED weight restriction of 6TONS. I have no quarrel with going to the old location. Its the $4200+ bill hes trying to stick the company with for being 20K over on a posted road.
