Well today I started work at 1:00am and at about 5:00am one of the bosses called me I guess I was about ready to expire I hadn't had an evaluation in 6 months and they had to get me in. Anyhow, he calls me "Hey where are you I can't find you anywhere."

I said I'm at my 5th stop (I had 11 today I think.) So he goes "Holy moley! You're about half way through at 5am." I said "Yes."

So he met me at my 6th stop and needless to say we pulled out of our last stop at 10:00am. Anyhow I'm tired have to get some sleep. I took a nap this afternoon, but ehh tomorrow I don't have to start so early and I should get done at an alright time.

They do make money on freight, but a lot goes on claims.

Gotta a chance to drive this Pete today. 2019 with only 85,xxx miles. To bad it's automatic, way to ruin the truck.:( thumbs down.

Too bad they couldn't spend little extra money on fog lights. Instead they wasted all their funds on that nanny assist vorad bendix facepalm.gif

If Saia is what anyone may want, then God bless. But I won’t recommend them to anybody.

Hey Mike, interesting to see your posts. Which terminal are you out of if I may ask? It's funny to see the same load issues are there 7 years later. I got my start in trucking at GFS (Pottsville,PA), they had just opened that warehouse. I serviced Panera bread and Bob Evans. I credit them with saving me from having to train at a mega.

Not a bad gig, but we constantly went over hours and the warehouse guys killed us with horrible pallet builds, pallets in wrong locations etc. I lasted 4 months at that job before moving on to Estes (which I liked), very laid back and no micromanaging . Being an o/o now I sure do miss the life of writing up a truck at the end of a shift and not worring about it 3 seconds later lol.

Imperial, PA. Pottsville, PA warehouse went out of business in 2016 and was absorbed into Imperial, Aberdeen and Taunton,MA. I was in Pottsville the day they announced the closing.

How so? I am looking at going back LTL (for the money) and they have a barn down the road from me?

Oh, how do I hate Saia...??? Let me count the ways.

To start with, they have cameras and don’t allow CB’s. Just that much is intolerable.
