Ughhh one more day. Gosh, I've been beat this week. I don't know why, well I have an idea. Tuesday I had a long heavy day that took a lot of my super powers to get through.
Wednesday actually was pretty light, but I was out of gas from Tuesday.
Today actually was probably the best day of the week. 12 stops, 872 cases all the stops really pretty easy, done by 1:00pm. I was moving I think at medium speed today.
Tomorrow looks medium heavy, but Friday is such a mad rush it makes me tired. Well it's a mad rush to get the chain restaurants off I have 3 of them that have hard 11:00am windows after that the rest of the day isn't so bad.
Last Friday I had a big huge major urban center high school I was there 2 hours they blew the entire day 166 cases just out of the freezer there entire order came in at just under 300 cases. It weighed like 5600lbs too.
This week I'm just tired. It's supposed to rain and snow this weekend. Fine I've got nothing planned. I'm single like @Russian Rabbit so I'll just hang out at my house, probably work on the LTL Podcast I get that thing moving along. Alright I'm rambling now.

My day was pretty easy today had to bobtail 115 miles to pick up brand new rental trailer come back and go to the same place again to grab another one.
For my 30 minute break I stopped at Loves on 80 S and parked in the back... it was quite entertaining watching some drivers try and back in the spotit was around 14:00 and majority of the parking lot was already full

Alright really killing it today!
Locked my self out of my car this morning with all my paper work for the day in my car!
Got through the rest of the day okay I guess.
Sitting here at my last stop waiting for them to show when ever they do watching my weekend tick tick by.misterG and Fuelinmyveins Thank this. -
Dropping 9 pallets at home Depot, and still have like 8 stops left it's 2:30pm - totally not getting done.
Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this. -

I had solid 11 hours off duty since yesterday, but this morning my machine of knowledge was showing that I was only off duty for 9 hours and 12 minutes.
OM checked on his computer and he confirmed that I had 11 hours off not 9. It goes to show how accurate those things are.
Still have 2 more trips to Lowes DC and I will probably be done for today. That should put me at 12 hours for today. Not too shabby -
Yeah elog are pointless if you're local they can run you nonstop for 16 hours no break. If you're otr just unplug the thing at the shipper. Always argue with my terminal manager about the 30mins when he tells me it's not required
Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this. -
The 30 minute break is only good if you don't log ie the time card exemption. If you do log, you have to take the break.
Next time he tells you not to log it, point him to fmcsa 395.3
(ii) Rest breaks. Except for drivers who qualify for either of the short-haul exceptions in §395.1(e)(1) or (2), driving is not permitted if more than 8 hours have passed since the end of the driver's last off-duty or sleeper-berth period of at least 30 minutes.Last edited: Oct 19, 2018
Fuelinmyveins and Mike2633 Thank this. -
As a city driver we have to take our 30 min break between 3rd and 6th hour. Road drivers before their 8th hour. It's stupid, but that's the company policy. I think I already mentioned that before.
