Interesting day. Was heading down one of those cloverleaf on-ramps. A truck pulling a connex infront of me flipped over . He was going way too fast. I pulled over and pulled the driver out of the truck before calling 911.
Guy was ok but visibly shaken. He was not injured.
You never know how they load those shipping containers so it doesn't hurt to slow the #### down on sharp curves.
Anyway, I think I did my good deed for the week. So no more freebies... Unless it's one of y'all.LoneCowboy, misterG, Gearjammin' Penguin and 6 others Thank this. -
This video comes to my mind whenever I have to pull a rail....
Skip to 1:00 if you value your time.LoneCowboy and misterG Thank this. -

More garbage freight... Hooray.
misterG, Gearjammin' Penguin, Cardfan89 and 2 others Thank this. -
We get that a lot... and it's usually liftgate delivery.
Now I get why some drivers are switching to linehaul at my barn -
I really don't miss those days. Those shipments are almost always residential with a lift gate delivery . The rates suck so more and more LTL companies pick up this garbage freight.
We actually had a interline carrier called North Park Transportation. They covered the same routes as us and we used them exclusively for garbage freight that none of us wanted to deal with. This included shipments to rich people houses in Big Sky MT. They had their massive houses up there on one of the mountains. Now imagine having to chain up and down 6 times a day and tracking people with poor cell phone coverage. Many of them were in the winter homes in Florida.
NPT threatened to turn over all garbage freight to us just before I quit. Got out in time I guess .speedyk, misterG, Fuelinmyveins and 3 others Thank this. -
That took 3 of us and a flatbed dump truck, and it was a trick because the thing was so tall there was probably an inch to spare on the door header.Bob Dobalina, Mike2633 and Fuelinmyveins Thank this. -

Mike2633 Thanks this.
