I think you might be on to something with staples. I impaled my thumb in one last week. It is like all bubbling up and swelling. Think it might be infected.

road_runner Thanks this. -
I could use a little snow or at least snow temps. It's 97 degrees out here right now!!! I can't sleep and I'm too cheap to turn on the A/C. Just kidding, I turned it on.

I interviewed with YRC today. It was more like meeting and chating. Highlight: " if your a douche bag we will fire you" a bit different than interviewing for teaching positions

So I was tagged with P&D the other day when I came back from my turn. Usually just run into town, they load me, then I come back and put the trailer against a dock. 15 minutes out, 15 minutes back, then 20-30 minutes loading. No big deal. I do this run twice/thrice a week, they always send the line guys since our pay is graphed on a different spreadsheet than the regular P&D guys. Makes out terminal supervisor look good for keeping labour costs down, and we get the extra hours.
Turns out the guy that usually loads me is out fishing or something.
After waiting 30 minutes to even get started loading, the dude took 90 minutes to load up 22 skids!!! All together, I was gone for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I was kinda wondering how I should explain that one, they will think I was riding the clock.
On my way back in: "Lot of trucks ahead of you?"
Me: Nope, just one. Took the dude 90 minutes to load me!!!
Boss: Oh, you must have been loaded by Scotty W.
Me: Scotty W.?
Boss: Yup, he used to work for us, so he has a chip on his shoulder, everytime he sees one of our trucks pull in, he will make sure we are the last ones to get loaded. We call him "All-Day Scotty".
My boss went on: I was there the other day to get loaded, I guess there is a yellow path you are supposed to stay on. I crossed over to tell him to put the big order on the front, and the single order pallet on the back so I could put the Pro stickers on them.
He came up to me and yelled: Stay over on the yellow line, and don't you tell me how to do MY job.
"Ok Scotty, no problem. The thing is, it is my trailer, and I would like to get it loaded a certain way".
Another coworker of Scotty overheard the confrontation and offered by boss $5.00 if he punched Scotty in the nose.
"$5.00?!?!?! Hell, I will do it for free, just make him cross over the yellow line for me".
Anyway. That is my rant. Next time I will bring a manual pallet jack with me. I bet ya I can load up my trailer faster than him with a forklift.
