Average day for me before I quit was 24 stops a day. This included pickups. Most I did was 34 stops and it was insane. I lost my s### when they wanted me to clock off and continue working on the dock after I ran out of hours. That's when I reported them to DoT.

I applied with FxF and even interviewed at the Billings barn. They start at $22 and top out at $27. FxF is notorious about keeping a tight lid on OT where I lived. My friend worked at the Belgrade barn and said they are scheduled at 4/10's but only getting 38 hours a week.

The South is a bizzare place for snow and ice management. They need to take a few lessons from our ODOT up here:

No not that fake ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation) Oregon Department of Transportation is the fake ODOT. Everyone knows the real ODOT is the Ohio Department of Transportation which won't be out spent by anyone. The Ohio Department of Transportation has 1 piece of equipment for every 10 miles of road.

What I like is the escorts they run in the south. And the tanker trucks that put down the salt brine. Tennessee has those as well.

ODOT has I think one or two tanker trucks running around, but usually there plow trucks have these tanks on the side:

And they carry the extra corrosive liquid de-icer in those tanks.

you have to remember @road_runner, it's the south. They are all running summer tires on their cars. Not even all season's.

and the slightest bit of snow and ice is going to leave them stranded. Plus they have zero experience in it.

BTW, you won't need chains. Either the ground will be warm enough to melt it or it will turn into solid ice (and you and everyone else is sitting). The safer thing is to sit.

I saw an ODOT semi hauling a 40 foot tanker, putting brine down on the highway a couple days ago. He had an escort behind him. So we do have those.

There's one that runs around here too, I think he's based out of the ODOT garage in Boston Heights off of Route 8 in between Hudson and Cuyahoga Falls. The one that I saw he had the ODOT Green, White and Amber light pattern which if noticed ODOT there snow removal equipment all has the Green White and Amber lights, but there non snow removal stuff only is equipped with the amber lights. They added the green lights and changed the law in like 2011-2012 to get the green lights and once green was made legal all the private snow plows went nuts and got green lights as well. One of yard spotter trucks at GFS had a light up grade it's got amber and green led strobes on it.

Those lights are absolutely blinding. Total overkill.

Yeah when you’re behind one of those trucks you can’t see around them at all.

That’s pretty much the story with the FXF terminal near my place. They’ll pay overtime, but try and get it. They’ll bend over backwards to make sure that does not happen.
