Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

Anyhow few months ago my buddy from NJ applied to FXF for city driver position. I sent him a text today asking if he got the job and he says that he still haven't heard anything yet. So I asked if he has any recent speeding tickets and he says oh yeah I have one for going 15 mph over the limit in upstate New York last year and a car accident that was his fault. Both happened in the last 2 years. I think I know why they didn't call him yet. Ooops!

So I got up today at quarter to 3 and I was pretty tired I was dragging a little bit today, but for some reason or another the stops came off without to much trouble I guess, well one stop I couldn't back down the ally there was a van parked in my way and the lots kind of tight doesn't work, but anyhow, that one was actually kind of light and I was able to get most of there stuff on a knock down and work off the knock down, no big deal.

My last stop is a dock stop and thank goodness they palatalized some of there dry and cooler I just pulled the 2 pallets off nice and smooth. Anyhow pulled out of my last stop at 11:34am.

Went home and went to sleep for 2.5 hours which is why I'm up right now at midnight, but I think I'm going to call it a day.

 

Well there is one more that I want to post and make a comment about it, but I can't upload pictures from my phone here. I'll have to transfer to my computer and then post in here. So bear with me

 

That sounds like how last Friday was supposed to go for me. Easy route, finished by noon with a dock for my last stop... Instead my trailer arrived 3 hours late; I had to park a block away from my second stop; I got a call telling me to skip ahead to a really important customer; then I was told my easy dock stop at the end of my route was closing early and I had to skip ahead to get them as well, and of course it was all on the bottom of a pallet with other stops on top. Got back about 4 hours late.

 

Ditto, we have a customer that uses them as well. They ship A LOT of fragile,formed acrylic, pieces.

 

Happy New Year. Sitting here in the dark late with my first stop opening up late. Hip hip. Hurray will be last back and late today. Might be ringing in the new year at work.
