I'm actually waiting for the shoe store now to open up in the parking lot. I had bad experience with red wings when doing beer, but believe it or not sketchers makes aluminium toes that lasted longer - that's what I'm gonna probably buy again

Well aren’t you fancy! I’m stuck with an 8-year old retired shuttle tractor with half a million miles on it.

Oh we got plenty of those as well. Our warehouses fleet is like half and half, half new half older high millage stuff that's circa 2010ish.

We have some older Volvo in our yard. They are being used in the city now. The only manual tractors left unfortunately

Think this one was from 2005 with more than a million miles on the clock

Mines must be older as the body style hasn't aged well. All our new Volvo's are autos also

GFS and ACT Cooper buy the same model of Volvo FedEx always bought the higher end 700 series model. Ours are the 600 series which is the regional/city model, that Volvo 600 series has not aged well, our trucks from 2010 and even a little newer rust like crazy. Our bumpers are white and I know some trucks they've had to replace the bumpers on because they have chipped and rusted out, must have been a batch of bad paint or something, I know some of our 2007 Volvo's turned into real rust buckets. For some reason the 700 series Volvo like what FedEx has, aged better not saying there all perfect FedEx Freight around here as an old Watkins Volvo from like 2005 that they use for city work and drivers door is nice and rusty on the bottom. They finally got rid of most of our 2007 half a million mile Volvo's and those things were getting shot it was at the point where the cost to maintain them was a wash between buying new ones so they finally decided time to buy new trucks. Guess this year were getting a couple Kenworths as test units.

I know GFS in the Carolina's has Kenworths and GFS in Canada (which doesn't count) has had Kenworths and some Peterbilts for sometime.

I don't really like our new Volvo's, Volvo cheapened them up a lot the interior is real cheap the older models like the 2015 I have I think is better, but that's just me and what I'm used to some may think the 2018s and 2019s are great.

Some people have to learn the hard way to be civil, especially when they want something.

Had a yard jockey waiting for me to break my set, and a driver from another terminal drove up next to him to ask...something. I'm not sure what. She must not have liked the answer because the conversation got heated. Yard Guy left her mid rant to grab my trailers.

Driver flags down another spotter, but he's already talked to the first guy and he ignores her. Same with the rest, and she ends up following random spotters and blowing the air horn trying to get their attention. Meanwhile I'm on the fuel island laughing my head off.

Driver realizes shes burnt her bridges with those guys, so she starts talking to drivers. They've been watching her antics for the last few minutes and all tell her to bug off. I never did find out what got her so worked up or how she resolved it. Maybe I'll ask a jockey tomorrow. Most of them will still talk to me.
