Wow I never seen that. :biggrin_2556:

I admire guys who pull doubles. Couldn’t be me.

Ohio Turnpike Doubles. 2 48 foot trailers. Set has to be split and built at pads right by the toll booths unless the company gets a permit to allow 1 mile from turnpike to terminal New York Thruway allows 2 53 foot doubles.

Tell your buddy to roll up the dollies on that middle pup before he gets rolling!

So you've never seen those up on the Turnpike, or do you not ever get up there at night? Every company that pulls pups also does triples up there. When I see them and especially the double 48s, I feel like a kid and get all excited about it!

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I don't run the pike, tbh. I kinda MISS the doubles (man that was challenging...) but how the EF would someone back up THAT set?!?!? (I mean if something went awry?!?) Backing pups was tough enough... Just ... nope, haven't seen 'em around here.

You upgrading, Bob? Kudos, if so, man.

    Bob Dobalina Thanks this.

I see double 48s every day and I still have that same reaction. Just looks so out of place.

Pulled Rockies everyday at Reddaway for 6 years. Some trips here and there. Haven’t had the pleasure to do turnpikies. Don’t think I want to. At Saia I’ve only pulled one rocky set. I’m actually glad. Od boys on a wakeeney Kansas have to pull triples in Colorado then drop a box at state line in Kansas. Then vice versa on the way home pick up a box. They can have that.

Someone makes folks tuck their polos? Last I heard, those were ok untucked. Not that I've ever seen it enforced for button-downs at any of the barns I've been to.
