    The 4th is a paid holiday for us. VP said we could take the 5th without pay or volunteer to work and they would find work for us. According to the grapevine, literally NOBODY volunteered to work. Not even the shop. I’ll find out tomorrow if someone “gets volunteered”. I requested the 5th off back in April so I’ll be behind handlebars looking for curves and definitely out of cell range...

    Meh. So far so good. Two hours of dock work, then a P/U 90 minutes away. Took them half an hour to fill up my trailer and now 90 minutes back to the barn. Think I am gonna take my 30 minute break as well and hope they ran out of stuff for me to do today when I get back.

    Taking mine now and I’m 2 1/2 hours away. Whoever tries to give me pickups up there will be told where they can shove it. I’m looking at a 300 mile day now.

    Can anyone recommend some decent work gloves for hooking and unhooking? I need something that slips on and off easily, because I’m constantly putting them on, then taking them off to jump back in the truck, then putting them back on, etc. I’m currently using a pair of cheap gardening gloves that I bought at Lowe’s but they’re already falling apart after a month of use.
