Funny how it seems like the ones driving the most expensive cars are usually the stupidest people, as often evident by the way they park.
misterG, Cardfan89, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this. -
It's true. That's the one thing I don't like about driving my Porsche... everyone looks at you like you are an idiot because that's what they expect. They aren't wrong to expect it tho.
-
...Not to mention being ENTITLED to be an idiot because you have money.
misterG, Cardfan89, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this. -
That too lol. Because there is no way that I scrimped and saved for like 8 years to buy the car I wanted lol. I also don't like other people with cars like that, they always try to get me to go to cars and coffee so we can stroke each other's egos about having nice cars...not my scene at all. My car has a roll cage, fire suppression system, and a scca log book.... you know the things you should be doing with a car like that lol.Gearjammin' Penguin, misterG, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this.

I went to one a few months ago and basically got beat up on for the fact my car has 140,000 miles because I drive it all the time, the roll cage makes it hard to get in and out of, and if I wreck it on the track (which happened once mildly already) I'm ruining a air cooled Porsche. Bunch of d bags in my book, I bought it to enjoy it not so other people would think I have money that I don't. I was picking on everyone and telling them how even my rallyx car was 1000 times cooler than theirs because at least it gets used and it's a acr neon lol.misterG, MACK E-6, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this.

Hate to ask on serious advice, but does anyone have any information on Averitt or South Eastern Freight?
Seeking advice in terms of health benefits and work environment (ie availability of functioning trucks and work tools)Cardfan89 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
I know a guy that works for averitt out of Tampa and he loves it. The trucks and trailers all look nice going down the road too. I know three guys that work for Southeastern's northern partner company A Duie Pyle and they all LOVE it there. I would imagine the companies are run pretty similar because they are partners. I know they run a lot of older trucks but they are kept up very well. They are very fleet spec such as crank down window on the driver side and power window in the passenger, that one always gave me a chuckle. I'll send out a text to them and see if they can give me any info on Southeastern.Bob Dobalina and Mike2633 Thank this.
