I got you, completely understand, the thought went thru my head when writing it, so no surprise here, never know who else is reading, would"t jeopardize it either, best of luck at the new dig"s, as far as the crying goes i would say cowboy the #### up, good an bad in all things, gotta scale it, if the bad outweighs the good than walk away, if not than deal with it, make it your friend, i"m to the point i would take anything, swallow the pride and be happy to be working. When i drove it was a union shop also, kinda why i"m here at this thread, as i got the impression from bouncing around this forum that others well i think you know what i"m saying. I personally don"t take that position, i take the position that we all gotta eat, provide for ourselves and maybe others, we are all working the same trade, we are all brothers. After the company i drove for went belly up, a cousin got me in with the carpenters union Local 257, now 157, lost 2 cousins and 6 members one of witch i was close to on 911,was close enough 2 see the body"s splatter, had 2 walk out over 59th, completely shut down 4 a decade, than the economy did it"s thing and well that lead me to a career change, so i"v gone full circle, got the Dept of labor to fund thru the W.I.A. grant the money to pay for the school and here i be chatting with you guy"s.

Helped a friend who was in BOCES Auto Mech. class with me Build a 69 Firebird ragtop, body went on to a 74 Dodge Ram truck with a lift kit and huge tires. Than i left for the service and got a letter about 6 months latter that he died. Was welding on it, adding weight after there had been a bad storm, this was in Levittown off of wantagh ave, the story goes that of course the car would not fit in the garage only the trunk or the hood would fit under the eve, well he ground"d out and cooked his heart. Here"s the twist, i was in my shop (ship-fitters) about a year latter when i got hit with 440, was gonna burn some 7018 rod and boom, next thing i remember is waking up in medical (lost 18 hours) while they were sticking me with needles asking me if i feel that, and waking me up every half hour not wanting me to slip into a coma. Cheated Mr. Death, and that was not the first time

yea UPSF to me there was more bad than good and just wasn't worth the frustration any more. Back at YRC there were good and bards but the goods did outweigh the bars to me which is why I regret leaving now... We will see how the new place is, I know a few bars and a lot of goods

    Suspended for 2 days.

Long story short: went to a new vendor ( for me ). Seen old class mate working outbounds, thought crap died years ago. We exchanged friendly 4 knuckles off the dock. Our luck a maintenance fella witnessed it and reported the shenanigans. We both denied it and a few days later TM calls me in and shows the email with us going off camera. We played scrabble ! :biggrin_255:

Years ago didn't know it was his wife I banged in the parking lot. Stupid dude is still with her and it's my fault ? lol

Remind me to buy a beer for you.

Here is my rant. Out of my 2K miles this week, I spent about 1.5K of it running triples. Of course they loaded my middle box tail heavy and I hogged a good 1 & 1/2 lanes the whole way. They put the "wiggle" in my wagons.

As my mate told me "I hate to see you go, but I love to see you leave".

    Meh... desk jockey

Haven't served the 2 days and will try to appeal it, no evidence of us playing 4 knuckle scrabble. Received the suspension for going off duty and not telling Dispatch LMAO ! I''m still on probation and the TM laughed and said don't worry. no proof no care.

clarify: not going back to vendor for a while and suspension will be unfounded. Good to go.

Scrabble is a great game. highly recommend it.

How the hell do you go out to a customer/vendor and pick a fight with one of their employees? LMFAO!!! Seriously?!? Guess that is why I run line. Way too many #######es working the local area. All the other line guys I run into at different terminals are cool as hell though.

You gotta watch it though. Some states have a bridge law. Back tandems 48 and dolley weight can't combine to weigh more then 48k. That's the law here. I've scaled under axle and gross but my bridge was way over. Most states don't care, usually only care about gross weight. Don't know if you knew that just giving you some FYI. Oh rocky sets are a lot easier to eat a double cheeseburger while on the road then a set a triples. A set of pups is like gold over here when you get to pull a set cause you know you got a easy night. Lol.
