Sore subject. Most grocery stores will take the cases back but have to dump them out of safety reasons. No idea why stores don't have a final sales policy on bottled water or other non-restockable items. "Whoops, I ended up not needing it" is a piss poor excuse.

Same goes to all the jackholes buying up generators and trying to return those as well.

With regard to consumers, boatloads just by way of people emptying their bank accounts for supplies and not needing it when many in that region live paycheck to paycheck.

KO's customers? My guess is next to nothing, of KO's many shortcomings in the CSD industry, being pushovers on picking up good product isn't one of them. I'll bet the account managers are already being briefed on this as we speak.

Publix likely won't be a PITA about it, water sells regardless of the emergency.

Yea, I was thinking the stores will keep it because it always sells but customers not smart enough to hold on to it until next time.....

Little indian stores or bodegas might give some grief about it, but the account manager should be able to keep them at bay.

Even if they DON'T save it for an emergency, if you've already shelled out for water, why not just use it as normal anyway.

Got about 7 hours worth of work left. That will put me around 13 hours, I can live with that. I'll be close to back on schedule for tomorrow with sleep.

Cardfan89, McUzi and dwells40 Thank this.

Well it's begun. I bumped a dock at my building to empty all the empty Rd pallets out of the trailer and you should see all the ####ing returns! I guess the sales guys all caved.

I wish we ran sideloaders honestly. I would rather load it on a two wheeler and go in that way.

I totally called it. All of our coastal freight is being held back and the four or five hours working the dock are followed on by 3 hours in the break room trying to kill time. Two more days of this while we wait to get a serious tropical shower and then hopefully back to normal.
