You know it's like the old adage, why should they do there work if you are going to do it for them.Gearjammin' Penguin, FlaSwampRat, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this.

I don't know why companies do it backwards like that. Set the cruise speed, then set the pedal speed higher to be able to make a pass.Gearjammin' Penguin, The Shadow, Cardfan89 and 4 others Thank this.

i HATE this. Hell i don't even do LTL and our yard runs like this. Everyone gets their daily assignment which might be 2 hours, might be 2 days. You call in when empty/finished and it's supposed to be next man up. (assuming right truck/trailer).
and yet constantly, you'll come back to the yard and check in and there are 4 or 5 old timers there (been there forever) just ############, clearly done for the day and walk inside and it's "hey, go hook to this trailer and go work another 3 or 4 hours"
What the F(*&^???????????
next man up, those guys are done and get to go home and i have to work.??
A lot of people quit over this. If everyone is working, fine, I'll keep working. But if some people are special and get to pick and choose and some people have to work their tail off. Yeah.......... not going to fly for long.misterG and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
one other interesting note i found out about at turkey day. The local Sysco here is on strike. (Denver) (and Denver isn't a very unionized town)
good for them.
and good timing, busiest time of the year.
