I used to run an occasional linehaul run to Pocatello when I worked at USF Reddaway But now at USF Holland P&D drivers are not allowed to do linehaul or vice versa cause of the whole union thing. We do have occasional daytime P&D trailer swaps on Saturdays, but that is a rant on its own.

Why do you keep subjecting yourself to that? I think at this point you have to admit that you like it. Heck, you might as well bid on a residential route for the weekdays too!

Well, I’m already dull, so no loss there. :biggrin_25523:

Besides, the lights have to kept on and the bills have to be paid. ;)

Nope. During the week is a different animal.

They were all in my territory, that is far enough from the terminal to be worth my while, so I can think of worse ways to make 300 bucks.

Like legit walking around shirtless? Pretty sure it's in the contract about AC. But I would be seriously moody if people started walking around without a shirt like they are at Myrtle Beach. Like, if I saw people working their dock without clothes, I would leave and return their freight. And I would tell my dispatcher exactly why and he would side with me.

A little odd at the very least but not something I couldn’t tolerate, especially if it made the difference in whether or not I was going to have their crap in my way all day long.
