Anyone interested,.go get a heart calcium scan ,it's usually only 100 bucks w insurance and takes just a minute to get done. It's a non invasive scan of your heart to check buildup of plaque. It's scores from 0 plaque on up to check your risk. I was on a low dose of anti statin drugs until I had this test done and my score.was surprisingly 0 plaque. Many people just genetically have higher cholesterol numbers , mine were on the moderate high side. Doc took me off statin after getting this test result. Helps though I never smoked.

Yeah had to go do a medical for a new job I'd applied for last year, the examiner did a compulsory blood pressure check it read 156/ 95 extremely high for me and by medical standards I was only a few digits off being sent straight to hospital, funny thing was I felt fine, I had to do all these other exercises after the test performed them fine, but was still told I had to go get a second opinion from a doctor, as the examiner was not a doctor, I'd fasted in the past, and had been guilty over the last 12 months during covid of not eating properly I'd gone back to eating all the pastries, cheese cake, chips, drinking lots of hard liquor like Scotch Whiskey etc,etc and paid the price, plus I'd put on about extra 14 kg, ( 30lb), after fasting for like 5 days on a 16/8 fasting pattern I'd lost about 1 kg ( 2.2 lb) went in to see the doctor they checked my blood pressure again it was down to about 145/ 94 still high but definitely a step in the right direction. All the doctors wanted to do is get my blood checked, not one of them suggested eating properly or losing weight all they wanted to do is for me to take high blood pressure tablets, I thought no way, that'd be a last resort before I try fixing the issue naturally. And so I did, I kept fasting and avoiding all the foods I'd got into a habit of eating which I knew I shouldn't be eating, stopped the excessive drinking of alcohol. After 3 months I'd lost about 10 kg ( 22lb) and my blood pressure was back to below 130/ 90.
