If I am not sure of the Route I want to take I compare my GPS to Google Maps, also sometimes I use Truckmiles.com and compare them....then I go from there.

Was sent a Pre-plan. Don't know the Paid mileage off hand. Will be picking up in Ft.Worth TX tomorrow. Taking chep pallets to our Cactus, TX plant. Delivers whenever I get there. Pickup is 8 am but Probably won't even leave Oklahoma till 12. Place is open 24 hours. I never been their late always early. So will probably be put on the workin list. Usually paid miles is around 200 mt and 399 loaded. So not a bad day. Hope to get a long run out of Cactus Friday. But we will see. Have a good night. God bless

So far still sitting. Was sent a pp. Don't understand it much. Guess somebody is bringing me a load from Pittsburg, TX. He/she will drop in Cactus and I'll take it to Cali. Appt times are not good, but that's expected being the New year. Here goes.

    Load miles is 1351
Pick up in Cactus 12/30/12 22:00
Deliver in Milpitas, CA 01/02/13 02:00

So Hoping whoever brings it to me. Will pick it up early. Would hate to do a 34 hour reset with 58 hours left on the 70. Will get some layover pay but, would rather be rolling some time tomorrow. Well I'm back quiet until next time. Have a blessed evening.

Pulled the brakes just before midnight mountain time. Had to make a pit stop at the Wal-mart since no telling how long I'll be here. I'll see if I can't get a few things on the truck fixed and some R&R. Well you good folks have a awesome day and a great weekend. God bless

I hate loads like that, no time leftover to get out from the customer, our customers generally don't allow us to do a 10 on their property. Plus the elogs records multiple violations just maneuvering on the customer's property if the time shows negative time.

Well I was hoping they would cancel the load to get me something that picked up sooner. They cancelled load but gave me another load that wont be here till Sunday. It's only going to Denver, and gave me a good load. Well a load with lots of miles to make up for the sitting. Only thing is. The load delivers after the pay cut off. So I'll probably be stuck with only 900 miles for the week. Not understanding how I'm sitting at a beef plant, and they keep giving me loads from chicken plants. I want to go in and ask the guys here if I can do some shuttle work and run down to Amarillo, and back. I'm sure that would cut into the time of their normal drivers so I'll leave it alone. Wasn't able to get truck worked on. So if I have time I might get it done once I pick up load in Greeley. Guessing the guys who are bringing me those load are texas dedicated guys. That's why they won't have them go all the way with it. I have 2 stops on load I'm taking to Georgia. So might ask them If I can get T called at first stop to get miles for this week. Will see how it goes. Not going to get anxious, because something else might pop up between now and then. Pre plans are on the way.

    Pick up (whenever driver gets here)But say's 12/30/12 1400 Cactus,TX
Deliver 12/31/12 No apt time Denver Might call them my self to see if there's an appointment.(receiver)

Next load Oh ya he told me on the phone Georgia. Pre plan says North Carolina.

Load miles 1600 Empty miles 54

Pick up 12/31/12 00:01 Greeley,TX Guess when I get there after Denver delivery.
    Deliver 01/02/13 05:00 Goodlettsville,TN
    Deliver 01/03/13 0700 Salisbury,NC

Would really like to get some stuff on truck worked on so I'm about to head on over to Google maps and see how far it is to TN. Maybe I'll have some wiggle room. But from the looks of it. I doubt it. Anyway hope you all are having a great day. We are back quite till next time.

How fast do things change in the trucking industry. Well as I was calling receiver to set up or see about appointment. Fleet manager calls again and wants me to dead head to OKC to relay a load delivering in Amarillo. So yippee for me. Said guy will be there around 8 pm tonight. Delivers at 5 in Amarillo. So here's the Pre plan.

    Load miles 258
    Empty miles 288

    Pick up 12/28/12 2100 Oklahoma City,OK
    Delivers 12/29/12 0445 Amarillo,TX

Think I'll leave here at 3pm so I don't waste my 14 hr clock. Just in case he is late. They sometimes call you in early at the Amarillo place so hopefully can make it in the dock and out of the dock without hearing that lady tell me I have went over my hours. There's lots of parking outside distribution. So I should be ok. Any ways better get some rest. I have a Lotta driving to do. To be in "Amarillo by morning"
