Do those hours of service 'mousetrap' loads stress you out?- you know the ones where you're gonna run out of hours due to live unload?

They do a little. That's why I always check and see if there is parking nearby that won't turn on that darn out of service lady. I think the fear of somebody telling me to move is more stressful then running out of hours at a dock. I don't normally research a secondary spot. All that will happen to me though is I'll lose my safety bonus but that's about it. But the safety bonus sure does come in handy on low checks. I think I have ran out of hours only twice that went over the 5 minute of driving mark. But there's a first time for everything.

Got to okc the check engine light came on. Went to the speed co after drop and hook and put a crank case filter on. Hopefully my baby will be running better now. Back quiet.

Well made it to Receiver and sent me right to a door. Its 3:15 and they are already getting me unloaded. Not too bad. That's why I don't stop to play around. You never know what can happen. Also check engine light came back on with the same crankcase pressure problem. Took them 15 minutes to put on the filter, but almost an hour in waiting for them to get invoice. Don't think I'm going to go up to Cactus when unloaded. Might just wait in Amarillo, and might have to go get this thing fixed if they say I won't be able to make it to Denver with this problem. I'll keep in touch until next time. Have a blessed weekend.

Computer crashed so wasn't able to update. Still have to get computer fixed so not sure how long that will be or if I'll use the tablet. It sure was interesting not having my computer. Had to break out the map and depend on wife to tell me about customers or just go in blind from just directions. Sure miss my computer but I realized I drove over 10 years without it. Just had to get use to it.

Had a pretty good few weeks out first week sucked. 1500 miles then 2nd 2900 and this one 3500 I believe. Hope to be going back out Friday. Hopefully will have a replacement, repaired, or a new one by then. If not back to the old school trucking. Anyway have a great week and stay warm. God bless

I drive to the same places every day, so no trip planning is needed when you have the route memorized. Too bad Mack's don't have a autopilot.

Well got a new lap top. So we will be on the road tomorrow morning. Got a load picking up in Farmers Branch, TX going to Sacramento, CA. Not sure on the actual miles because I'm home but will give actual paid miles tomorrow. Empty Miles is 190 loaded is 1700 plus. Picks up at 1800 Delivers Tuesday at 4am. Going to try to pick up early and deliver Monday. Not sure if they will take it off early or not. 1900 miles though is not a bad way to start 1st week. If they don't take it early will see if I can't get a 34 reset. Think it all might work if I can get loaded early or not. So. We will see more tomorrow. Have a good night and God bless.

Took forever to get trailer washed out this morning. Everybody wanted to get their truck washed. Good thing the clock wasn't started. Arrived at shipper about an hour ago. In a door but about 5 trucks in front of me and think they may be on lunch break, but hopefully will be getting some of these trucks out of there soon and me on the road before the metroplex traffic get's too bad. I have 7 hours and 20 minutes left on the clock to drive right now, but they may change if they take their time loading me.

Was almost on the money with paid mileage. 190 empty 1710 loaded so as I estimated 1900 miles won't be a bad week to get things rolling. If they do like the last time and give me a short haul down to LA, or Bakersfield. Still can put a few hundred more miles on that check. Well time to make up bed and stuff and prepare for another 3 weeks on the road. You folks be cool on your stool. We are back quiet.

Took them longer then I was hoping for. But that's trucking. Didn't leave out of their till close to 4pm. But still sooner then my 6pm appointment. Traffic was bad but I think I made some pretty good time in it. Not a very productive day. Only 480miles logged today in 8hr 44minutes. Stopped with about 45 minutes left on the clock. Will be doing some split breaking I guess for the next few days Really thinking I can make it by Monday at 4am. Without having to adjust my 62.7 cruise speed. May have too to make up for my 59mph cruise speed in California. Not really thinking I'll get it off early, because If I do. Probably won't get a reload out of the same place until the next day. Just hoping to get there soon so I can start my restart even though I really won't need one, but when time presents itself. I always try to make use of the time wisely. So we will see how this goes.

When computer crashed had a pretty hot load and was able to log 13hr and 41 minutes. Did 777 miles that day could of did more but I had to deal with snow for most of the morning. Anyway Going to see if I can't beat that this trip. That's the real reason I'm doing split logging. Not sure If it will work, but I'll have fun trying it. My goal is to beat the 13hr and 41 minutes or the 777 miles. Before I go back on home time, but would love to do it on this trip. Since I have a lot of wide open running. Anyway time for shut eye. You guys have a good night, and may the good Lord bless you with another day.

Did the split break had 5 hours and some change available. Drove 4 hours and 30 minutes. Will get 2 hours in the sleeper and hit the road again. The thing I like most about the split sleeper is that you have a better chance of utilizing all your 11 not giving up 30 minutes or more because there's no places to park down the road. Plus the E logs help out in that department, because if not on E logs. I wouldn't be doing it. One day I'll take some time and try to learn the ends and outs of the split sleeper. Anyway time for some grub. Have a great weekend.

Made it to Little America. Flagstaff Arizona with 11 minutes left. Didn't feel like a productive day, but managed to log 673 miles in 10:49 mins. Guess you can do that when you keep the left door closed. Anyway haven't been at this truck stop in 10 years. Last time I was here. I woke up because somebody hit me. Looked in the mirror and a CRST was trying to do a straight pull through and his trailer caught mine. No damage then the guy tried to back in next to me. I think he tried a few times and gave up. Didn't even acknowledge that he just hit my trailer. Parked on party row so hopefully no CRST incidents will take place. Will be back on the road in 8 hours. So you all have a good night. God bless
